  • Do you know if hardware like Virus Ti2 would work on a hackintosh? I'm currently using FL Studio and want to upgrade to Logic, but don't wanna spend $2500+ on a mac lol. But I also wanna be able to use my Virus TI XD

  • @newzealanddude92 Use Emagic.Logic.Audio.Platinum.5 That one is last version build for PC and still works like a charm Has automation and full VSTi use [Pc Versions] For a full Logic Pictured tutor see my page websoundtutors/logicaudiotutor

  • Hi, will an apogee ensemble work on this type of setup? thanks

  • i really want logic but my screen res only goes up to 1024x768 and logic needs 1200x 800 apparently so iim fucked...if anyone has a solution i'd be ridiculously grateful

  • @JKAYnl I'm trying to get it to work in vmware, i have snow leopard installed and it works great, also installed logic successfully but when i try to play a project i get an error about cpu overload. I've tried adding more ram and processors for the vm but it didn't work.

  • So let me understand you have a normal pc(if you understand what I mean)but you have installed mac on it...Right?Or do you have an Imac?

  • Hey mate, i also got hackintosh running, but i can't seem to get the Steinberg C1 Audio interface (USB) to work, u have any clues?

  • Sweet , but are you worried with any legal issues with apple ?

  • @FlowTraceur read the microsoft windows eula and it says the same thing, installing windows via vmware on apple computer is kinda the same thing, the hackintosh scene is worldwide and more people are selling there macs because it's a cheaper route.

  • USB Audio Interfaces with official mac drivers will work on iAtkos?

  • @frsmk yup, once your hackintosh is up and running, standard drivers will work for all external devices (usb, firewire etc)

  • Can you do a video how you did this

I have the same mobo and graphicscard

  • Can you do a video how you did this

  • I used ideneb v1.6 installed succesfully but when rebooting after installation it just freezed in the apple loading screen any solutions :/ i want logic studio 9 so badd :(

  • @DarrenMalla you're probably using some incompatible kexts. experiment with different ones - also try a different build (other than iAtkos). some work better than others depending on your hardware.

  • @Schpikster yes i tried iatkos and it worked

  • @DarrenMalla i had this problem...use the busratio flag

  • @Upsilonofficial i solved the problem used a different version iatkos

  • what mac osx86 did you use? does everything like Internet and sound and programs work with it?

  • hey have you installed mac osX on external hdd and if so how it works does have any glitches or something....

i'm about ti install on my pc the reason is Logic Pro :)

    Spec.

    Intel 2 Quad core Q6600 @ 2.4 Ghz

    Motherboard: ASUS P5B

    4 Gb Ram

    Graphics: Nvidia 8600 GT

Sound: Audio 8 DJ from Native Instruments

  • Hi friend. very good, what is the tuorial? "Install method: iAtkos S3 v2 distro"? where, please post for us, thanks brother, have a link ?

  • Hi there! I installed using iatkos s3 v2. But when I try to install logic I get an error.

It says my graphics card need to be Quarts compatible and that it is has less than 64MB of VRAM. How do I enable Quarts graphics with iatkos ? I am willing to reinstall. Please tell me which graphics options to choose. thankyou!

my gfx card is Asus EN8400GS silent (Geforce)

  • @teeno7 read the instructions - basically you need to add the correct kexts on installation. From memory, i think you need to add the geforce graphics enabler or nvinject. try them out on installation, and see how you get on. if it doesn't work try something else. if your gfx card is PCI express then it's the same as mine so I can confirm it works.

  • This is impressive! I got logic running on a Celeron D hackintosh with 2 gigs of ram.

I am able to load up sampletank, record & reason and a few other audio units with out issues. but once I load up Kontakt & a dynamic plug in (reverb) it all starts to go down hill! lol watching your video inspires me to step it up a bit.

  • Can you send me the instructions how to do hackintosh. I really want to do this.

    Please and thank you.

  • 'i'll just slow it down for a second' - unheard of ....

  • well done - what audio card?

  • @russhurley I use the firewire Phonic Helix 12 as my audio card. There is onboard sound which also works but I don't use it.

  • @russhurley hey thanks. does that give you 12 physical outs? do you mix OTB?

  • @russhurley no it's 10 input, 2 output.

i don't do that much mixing using the desk when i'm recording; I prefer to record everything dry and mix it in Logic. If I were to ever use it in a live set up then I would use the mixer though.

  • can u send me the instructions how to do hackintosh thank you

  • it's different for every build.

First you need to ensure all your PC parts will work. Search for osx86project on google and check the wiki hardware compatibility list.

Then you need either a retail version of OSX and a bootloader disc (the hard way) or an all-in-one distribution disc (downloadable as a torrent, less legal but if you're worried then just buy a retail copy of OS X to ease your conscience)

Then use the above website for advise on how to install it.

    Good luck
