@GraveDiggerIII After 60mpg AWD does nothing but slow you down, as for handling it also makes the car heavier and understeer, The only way AWD will rape a rwd car is if its in deep snow or gravel. BTW I've seen supra's launch better then fully built evo's at the strip.

the 328is in the E36 is exact same power as the 325is just more TQ the E46 328 and 330 are both over 200 ohh and as for the 330 being about as quick as an E36 328is BAHAHAHAH the 330 is a beast compared to the E36 it has 231 hp compared to 198 but an OBDI swapped 328is with a full exhaust and intake can make CLOSE to the same power but still slower

either way my E30 will smoke both of these cars ;)

i used to work on watercooled VW's and while the VR6 only had 170hp that year it was underrated at 180lb-ft, its actually around 210 and the torque curve, due to the unique design of the motor, is ridiculously aggressive. so from a stop of course its going to get the bmw, though on high end like this, even though the jetta is way lighter, i would say the jetta may be modified.
