I love the sound of this guitar. It has a lot of punch even with a somewhat lesser amount of gain. I'm not crazy about the shape tho. I like the Mockingbird Special the most of the B.C. Rich guitars. Rockfield puckups are great, and I don't want to hear any shit about Seymour Duncan being the best. They aren't made of gold, and neither are Les Pauls.

ok. first mid-distortion had almost enough distortions to play metal that isnt 100% fake pure distortion crap. (b.c. rich is crap at that.) the clean sounds horibble, and then the actual metal sound has so much distortion that it doesnt even sound like a guitar anymore. b.c. rich sucks, they are all for looks. dean too.

@S00praGuitarbr00tal too much distortion can be adjusted in a pedal your using or amp settings not the guitar. trust me i have a full stack and i got this guitar last week. and no matter what you play you should understand the note your playing unless your tone deaf. i can even tune with gain on high and using pinch harmonics.

@CoolBreezeClub I prefer the Strat myself, i enjoy the scale length and the overall sound is alot more versatile, for instance you can take a stratocaster and play ANY genre of music and its going to do just fine where as, some guitars like these BC riches you notice they dont sound all that great when their not heavily distorted. and you can always get a heavier sound with good pedals and amps. but dont get me wrong i love the looks of the BC rich guitars. they have the most appeal of any guita

@frogboy122192 I too prefer the Strat overall. I have just always been a fan of the B.C. Rich hard-core Kerry King/metal sound, but never got the urge to purchase one until recently. I was trained as a classical guitarist when I was younger and had always used a Strat, but lately I have wanted of an edge when playing (doing a lot of Misfits and Thrill Kill Kult covers) and sometimes the Strat just can't dish it out - still a great guitar and my all time favorite .

What is the "perfect" tuning for a Warbeast WMD?

Looks like it was made for D or C tuning, but i also know that looks can be deceiving.

I`m looking to buy as mentioned above, a Warbeast WMD, but i want to know what is the alternative BC:Rich to this guitar?

Also, what are the downsides of this exact guitar?

I bought one a few days ago used, it doesn't have the floyd rose though. I got it for $260 which is less than i paid for my Ibanez, and don't get me wrong my Ibanez is an amazng guitar and they are a great brand, but for playing really heavy metal styles i'd recomend this guitar for the sound and playability, it frets easy, stays in tune, and has an awesome sound. I will more than likely use this while recording and on stage. It picks up harmonics great as well. it isn't perfect but it's good.

My birthday is coming up soon and I don't know to either get a Warbeast or SG Gibson.

I'm more into metal and I know that the Warbeast will give me that heavy sound, not to mention it is a awesome/metal looking guitar.

Then again will I be able to play stuff like Nirvana, AC/DC, Foo Fighters etc, because I think the SG will be for them type of bands.

@xXROFLTRONXx dude, id get the warbeast. Not dissing the gibson. but you can buy an epiphone that will sound damn near the same for half the price. with bc rich, you get EXACTLY what you pay for. The dont get enough credit outside of metal, but i had one, and trust me, they are GREAT. and not too bad on the wallet either, and in my opinion, a better all around guitar. i hope i helped in any way. any questions just msg me or something and ill b glad to help, have a good one

@007outlaw1 Haha not really, this is a pro's guitar, for your first guitar go for something like a Squire Strat or Tele. There easy to play, affordable, and they dont have floyd roses so there much easier to tune and get lots of sounds out of so you can discover 'your' sound. Hope I helped :)
