I miss BD from the late 90's and early 2000's.. These days, BD seems to be more focused on dancing around like a bunch of dipshits, and less focused on playing clean beats... I think we're starting to see the first wave of kids that joined drum corps because they watched the movie "Drumline" and thought it was cool.. How sad.

It was only dirty because of the sound travel. The closer the drum is to the camera the faster the sound will be caught. The farther the drum the longer it will travel to the camera to record, leaving a slight delay in the sound together.
