There was a glitch that allows you to control Mushroom Pikmin as if they were normal Pikmin, except the regular Pikmin will still attack them. I'm not sure if that glitch works on the Wii version, though.

At 2:19, they didn't turn into mushroom pikmin because they were not Active (IE, following you or obeying your orders). They can't turn into mushrooms because they can't be given commands (IE, the command to attack you from the Puffstool)

I think the puffstool wasn't included in #2 because the attacking pikmin on olimar and against other pikmin used in the versus multiplayer mode did virtually the exact same thing

Still missed it in 1 player mode though :/

Hope it makes a return in #3, I'd like to have a fight where you're forced to go against a whole whord of evil pikmin

pikmin turn purple: infected by fungass. the fungass is poisonous, i think that if you have white pikmin from pikmin 2, i don't think they'll get infected.
