note how Livgren has a Les Paul around his neck while manning two keyboards...need I say more? and do you ever see Livgren's name come up in anyone's list of favorite guitarists?
Kansas were true artists...Today all the music prodigys have been silenced by the music producers who have created pseudo - music stars, and have marketed todays crap to the young people. America's music has fallen off the cliff.
these guys come from a time long past where all that mattered was the music not image or earnings they made music because it poured from their heart and soul how many musicians can drive a song home like these guys...
This is by far of the best songs in the history of music. The violin playing is superb and Steve Walsh is definitely one of the best piano players to ever live. I love how it says Rock Concert.. real music was back in the day.

Playing a 9 1/2 minute piece (I hesitate to use "song", doesn't do it justice) on TV? Ballsy.
Six guys on stage, and they're all DOING something. Do you see any dancers? No. Do you see anyone worried about anything other than his part, in a very complex piece of music? No. Do you see anyone who's pretty at all? No, they're all pretty ugly, actually.
See, it's ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC. And this was their best piece, in my oh-so-humble opinion.
Steve's voice sounds stunningly good here. This is just an outstanding performance. I can't imagine what it would have been like being in the audience for this.
