The category is called LARGE. This happens to make for heavy characters and vehicles but not always. Rosalina, Waluigi, and King Boo are not heavy but their size will not allow them to fit in a small or medium sized karts or bikes

4: King Boo's "size" is too big to fit in all the other karts. And in Mario Kart: Double Dash, King Boo was heavy.

5: I can't really tell about Rosalina's changed height. In Super Mario Galaxy, she's like over twice as tall as Mario and Luigi.

My theory Well, there IS 10 Lightweights(Babies Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Daisy, Toad, Toadette, Koopa Troopa, Dry Bones, Diddy Kong, and Bowser Jr.) 8 Mediumweights(Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Daisy, Birdo, Waluigi, and Rosalina.) and 6 Heavyweights( Wario, Donkey Kong, Bowser, King Boo, Funky Kong, and Dry Bowser.) Nintendo was thinking to make it EVEN-steven and BJ and DK were the closest to Medium and Waluigi and Rosalina's Adultness were closest to Large but NOT Heavyness so then there yu go
