What a tournament. Ashes 09' belongs to England, so do the World T20 and the Champions trophy. Along with the Women's Ashes and the Women's T20 Tournament.

Home advantage plays a huge part.. but the comment about steve harmison and how he is going to kill us.. that makes me laugh. Im sorry to say but he is one of the worst bowlers in international cricket.. he bowls well at times dont get me wrong... but really really really bad at others.. a test bowling average of 31 indicates that.

It's nice to hear an Aussie say we didn't cheat in 2005. Thanks. English conditions are ideal for bowlers, and we had some bowlers who had mastered swing. That's what helped win us the Ashes in 2005.
Losing Hayden, Martyn, Gilchrist, Langer, Warne and McGrath might just level the playing field for a few years. 6 of the best cricket players ever to walk the Earth now gone. Aus cricket has depth. I think they will need a bit of a rebuild. Hopefully it should be a competitive series this year.

I remember this series like it was yesterday.I was working nights at the time,so got to watch most of it.The turning point for me,was at Edgbaston,when McGrath stood on a ball,then Ponting elected to bowl!What ever the noisy negativists say,it was a wonderful time for English cricket,and for the players themselves.Great soundtrack to the vid m8.
