the girl with the globe smashing the window cut her hand badly in the movie doing this and needed stiches.matt dillon was the first one smashing the car window.though his character was killed he wanted in on smashing things up so they let him smash a few things up if you look closely.also a scene at the end was deleted where johnny and the gang were at 7-11 and johnny took out a switchblade and carved up a car real bad.wasn't there any normal kids here? many looked deformed not to be rude.

This movie will be on friday night may 23d 2008 on UHD [UNIVERSAL] channel. Im in New Jersey and have comcast cable. Hope those of you trying to find the movie have it by you. Set you dvrs. This filmed spoke to every thing i was into when i first saw it in 1980 on HBO. I was in 7th grade and would stay up all night to catch it. I must have seen it 20 times that year.

classic!!! this really did happen in 1974 in foster city california.the cop lived but was badly hurt.my question though is how did they know who to pick up and who not too? i guess if you got out in time before the cops came and made it home then you were assumed as not being there

I was like 10 when I saw this movie and I just gotta say, locking up every adult in town and then trashing the high school was every kid's dream.

But not with guns. Just messing around with the high school equipment would have been fine.

"Over the Edge" is one of the greatest movies ever made. No production company would ever green light it today, but it's nice to know there was a time when Hollywood didn't mind making ballsy movies.

I was 9 when this came out and saw it a bunch of times back then. I never realized how much some movies can influence a young kid. I'm not one of these nuts criticizing the movie, all I'm saying is, when I was younger I was very intrigued by them smoking pot and hash as well as dropping acid. I was 9!! and wanted to do this shit and was successful at it as well. I have a thing for redheads because of that girl. I just watched Last American virgin on youtube and what memories I'm having tonight
