  • kool video.....keep it up guyz....

  • THIS IS THE COOLEST FUCKIN THING EVER.

  • This is awesome.

  • Now with 25% more wires!

  • I wouldn't want to get a hacker virus

  • imagine brains getting connected to a large system... it could become a power that can affect, or even control the humanity. what's the implication of that? or maybe I just watched too much movies

  • @goodgoodgoodful Re-programing neural fabric is less than likely, seeing as you're self-conscious.

  • Apply this technology to 3d virtual reality headset with 128 bit visual capabilities and MMORPG environment. PERFECT GAMING EXPERIENCE!

  • This is what the future of gaming is, 3D is only a stepping stone.

  • who signed an experiment like this?

  • Was this experiment based on motor imagery? Or something else?

  • Don't know what you noobs are all so excited about. Never heard of the Atari Mindlink? It's from 1984.

  • Hitler would have cummed out his one testicle for this technologly. lol.

  • nintendo wii was yesterday

  • omg the hat just read the brain reactions, its not like a needle or chip imported to your head and your memory,It reads it dont downloads, and someone can hack your computer if you have internet, well then i would prefer to play singleplayer without mouse or keyboard even better screens will be nice, glasses maybe, imagine to play on your bet or even working from there

  • everyone says that this will happen 100 years away but it is very likely to happen in 15 or even 10 years......scary

  • 3.

    I'd give it 3 years.

5 years and we won't even need the nerd-looking hat...

  • memory deletion is what you should look out for

    that is the warning sign

asaid from that its all good

  • wonder how it will be like a 100years from now, a matrix type going to a virtual world would be awsome!

    ad get laid!

  • Wow... But here we have a new double-edged sword. Hope it's true excaliber~

  • That's really scary.

  • why? does new technology scare you?

  • Not the technology. The potential it has to be used for corrupt reasons.

  • I would love to use this device with AutoCAD :)

  • love it I hope soon it will be reduced to few points on head... couse this hats look silly...

    and wireless of course!

  • i think in like 10 or 20 years u dont have a keybourd and mouse anymore bud a freaky had to play games and stuff xd

  • what if there is a virus????

  • It'll delete your soul and install adware in your corneas.

  • Dude are you serious? Are you for real? I mean that question better be a joke.

  • no , i asked it for real what happends? will you die or will you start shooting everybody with a stick you found in the gardin of your neighbour...

  • the virus isn't going to invade ur brain. The point of a BCI is that it isn't technically connected to your brain, its non-invasive...the machine only translates your brain wave into actions.... but it doesn't send messages or anything to you

  • it was a good question though because i would presume that when this becomes more advanced it wouldnt just be brain output but input into your brain too, so the waves would be translated back. that way they may find its a more effective way of control. but bebbo45 does raise the question of the POSSIBLE danger it COULD EVENTUALLY lead to.

  • (was meant to be a reply to bebbo but i used the wrong comment box)

  • yes.. everything is dangerous if someone want to use it in bad way....

    bci not less than cars!

  • Everything can be a weapon if you swing it right

  • even...

  • @TonyT09

Don't worry, we'll use a linux platform to interface with the brain. That way the interface won't hang up and there'll be no viruses unlike in "shit" windows s/w.

  • the computer isnt sending information into your brain so a virus couldnt get in also computer viruses most likely wouldnt affect you in anyway

  • you know what is hypnosis? :] and how possibilities give that device?

  • chilly ur sentence makes no sence

  • no, this device can exact your brain to some actions that can have hypnotic result.

  • I think if you thought out what you're trying to say, it would be a viable argument. Look at what you type.

  • What was your first language?

  • mandarynian

  • Is this actually real? If so, then that's AMAZING!!! Wow, this is highly exciting material. I can't wait to see what the future holds for biocybernetics!

  • If this scares you you are a fucking idiot. This is what life is all about. Discoveries, progress... Without it it would be so boring we would all just kill ourselves.

  • @JackandJill1911 no, without it we would just be religious people. lol

  • Soon, the human body will evolve to not need arms and legs anymore, we will just be big floating heads

  • Sounds quite a bit like Combine Advisors to me

  • HAHAHA pong the score was 8 to 5 LOL

  • insane, it scares a lot

  • imagine the possibilties..

  • apparently one problem with the technology is that there is a bad signal from the brain helmet. i hear you can access the brain from an opening behind the eye ball directly. you do this using muscle relaxant to remove the eye. no cutting required. combined with wireless chips we could be looking at a disaster waiting to happen

  • Hello, Questions from Chile :D :

How many Channells have the eeg used in the video? Have any relation with the Modeeg prototype from openeeg list?

  • it could be 64 or even more, but it's possible to make a brain-computer interface like the one in this video using way less channels; Also in this kind of application the brain signal (EEG)is recorded using an EEG recorder such as openeeg...

  • my comment is in response to volades question...

  • That's great...the hacking of the future will be 'altering' your brain-helmet so it can 'connect' with other computers. "I mentally command you to CRASH".

It'll be great for office pranks too. Just glance over at your coworkers computer and make their pointer do spirals on the screen.

  • thats the reason society is so advanced .... 'pranks'

    eeeks

  • can sme1 explain me what is real meaning of this video

  • Wtf, HAX! :]

  • great! congratulations!

  • This COULD be the beginning of a new computer-interface era. Every new era starts with Pong, apparently...

But the same has been said about Virtual Reality and now nobody is using it because it causes nausea.

Anyway, this Pong-Game is not too impressive considering there are people controlling their transplanted robotoc hand by mere thought (without EEG helmets).

  • awesome..

  • Hey, who can guess which one is dumber?

  • i still dont know how they control the game with their minds

  • in future ppl will read our mind using satelites

  • hahaha

  • You know when pong came out an idiot like you said, " Who the fuck cares its just ping pong. Why dont you use a paddle and a real table."

Thank you for officially stopping technology.

    Assface.

  • a w e s o m e

  • you** sorry pep. wow made me look dumb lol. o and yea no more excuses like "o the button got stuff or i had to scratch or the contoler doesnt work" pure dumbness.

  • LOL SO THAT MEANS IF YOU LOSE THEN YUOR REALLY DUMB.

    haha that sucks.

  • hahahahahahahahahaha

  • Or if you type in all caps it means you really are dumb.**

  • its real, i tested it myself at the expo in germany, also playing pong ;)

  • obviously pong is not the most usefull purpose for this ,but you have to start somewhere so dont complain. You cant create something like this and start out with typing software or even tetris for that matter. Its called baby steps, and lets face it pong is pretty much the simplest program one can operate.

  • hahaha, they use this for pong now...wth

and yes this is real to all the non-techie people, Ive seen machines for paralyzed people that are similiar to this.

  • interesting...

  • wow, if they can remove all those wire and make the helmet wireless, and also improve the functionality of this whole thing, this could revolution the future.

Imagine turning on the light in the room or open ur house's door just by thinking about it. You dont have to drive car anymore, just think about where u wanna go. Freaking awesome

  • If a game like .hack// Would be created, and you played it this way, I, would, be, in, heaven. o.o

  • Another video of this is here:

    http://g6publish.videodome.com/verizon/smbportal/?channel=Lifestyle+Health&clipid=54352&bitrate=300&format=wmp

  • no kidding, this is just an example of what they could do.There are paaralyzed people who actually use the computer this way

  • SUCH GREAT TECHNOLOGY AND THEY USE IT FOR PONG?

  • No way is this real..

  • tombarnett you stupid fucking American, this has many applications further than the simplistic pong game on display in this clip. Did you ever think of the disabled or quadraplegic people that could now make interactions with a computer? Probably not, you're too busy telling people how lazy they are, which is more probably than not your biggest flaw.

  • wow is that all they can do with all that machinery? play pingpong?

HA HA HA how totally ridiculously surreally sadly tragically hilarious. What has the world come to. reminds me of the research done into an antigravity pen for space where ink would flow. millions of dollars spent and in the end they ditch it for a pencil. Have a game of tennis and stop being so bloody lazy LAZEMONGERS. get up NOW STOP STARING AT THE SCREEN! GO AND DO SOMETHING REAL!!!!!!!!!

  • When this become a mod for WoW, the world is going to end.

  • wow there shouldbe a fighting game

  • <---Lazy Sunday and Brokeback Mountain combine in Lazy Brokeback!

  • Err....Where have they done this with toy trains for years? I've been to tons of train shows and never seen a Lionel BrainMaster Transformer anyplace.

  • < --- CHECK THIS OUT / VERY SAD.

  • crazy go nuts o.0

  • !!!!!! CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO !!!!!!

!!!IT WILL TOUCH YOU AS IT DID ME!!!

  • CHECK EM OUT

  • <--these guys have crazier costumes

  • <-- these guys have crazier costumes

  • lol @ amount of ribbon cables. www.speedylogins.com

  • Mind over matter

  • An easy way to put it is when our minds make electrical impulses it does so in different parts of the brain and by pinpointing where the signal is coming from that specific function of that specific part of the brain and applying it to trigger a reaction in the controls. They've done this with toy trains for years.

  • This really has been around a long time and it has come alot further than pong. If people would get their heads outta their asses long enough to understand how their own minds work they'd understand that and I'm sure we'd have come alot further in this type of technology. And I have studied the workings of the mind quite extensivly so I do know that it can work.

  • this is fake, how the hell could brain waves make a flag statement true? what if they were thinking north, or something.

  • Okay?

  • God damn I hate you rednecks. I bet you listen to rap haha.

  • <--- CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO!!!

  • bvll sh1t

  • all that for the shittiest game ever

  • ^^ Thumbs Up! ^^ I am going to give it thumbs up but this is not new though. It's been around since the 80's. They still working on it and improving it. I seen people actually play more complex games using the mind only. I also seen it used for therapy too (believe it or not) and for disable people too.

  • i wanna try!

  • It seems creeppy.... I'd doubt i'll let sony or MS in my head...

  • Satan is Comming! Weird stuff

  • that shittt is tight....

  • @Jintala

    Sorry, your an idiot,too!!

    The Cebit is Hannover.

In Frankfurt you'll find the "books-fare"

  • idiot, the cebit is in frankfurt, not in berlin.

  • you're all are fucking stupid. THIS IS REAL And wad demostrated at the CeBIT which is a computer exhibit in berlin. STFU!

  • I see possibilities here!!!

  • cool, makes you wonder doh: how far can humanity go?

  • its just awesome... :o

  • i dont get it

when pong came out 30 years ago

then 30 years, now it is like real as life and u cant tell the difference from reality

imagine with this but in 30 years

if they did eyetoy and online and all these cool stuff with regular games in 30 years

    imagine brain stuff

    cant imagine it

    too exciting!

  • <<---- IN MEMORY OF 9-11

  • geek!

  • Looks like these guys have games on their mind...

    http://www.pixtoons.com

  • So it begins here.........If this video is real then I say in the next 50 years (still in my life time) we would be able to dive into computers like in Ghost in the Shell. Kindof a scary when you think about it. Yet amazingly cool to consider.

  • They've actually been able to use these things to write sentences in a word processor...

But is takes like ten minutes just to write everything I just did! Ha!

  • The old man in the red cap has a bit of trouble doing it. Maybe he's senile?

  • you know something? our brains are more powerful then we give them credit, but there also the fact the human stupidity is limitless, so ask yourself, can we and a race overcome our own mental limits when we type stuff like "OMG J00 R Teh Suxors!!!11eleven"

oh and if they made this technology commericlaly available, id so buy it, though my ner levels would go up beyond the known limit in society (somehow the spelling doesn't look right?),

  • clips short. but its cool i love seeing new computer technology.

  • Fake. Bioports are still too early in development.

  • ***WATCH THIS ONE ISTEAD, IT'S ACTUALLY INTERESTING***

  • thats sooo wierd haha. but cool too

  • <--- VERY SAD / MEMORYS OF 9-11

  • Are you guys dumb? Or is it a bad joke which I dont get?

Why are you blaming them? Obviously this technology isn't perfect yet. The computer has a hard time knowing where he wants the paddle to go.

  • i rated it awesome but i don't believe it for a second

  • Are the test subjects a little slow?

  • watever

  • Surfers!!!!!! check me out .)

  • <--- MEMORYS OF 9-11

  • !!!!!! CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO !!!!!!

!!!IT WILL TOUCH YOU AS IT DID ME!!!

  • The future is now.

  • wait. shouldn't something like this cut down on reaction time?

these guys SUCK ASS AT PONG!!!!! AAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!!!!

  • this isn't fake. or do you think when the people in the hospital wire up your head, they do it to gather fake data?

the question is, how much can you influence the electrical currents being measured... obviously they can do one variable: up or down

  • fake?!?

  • The future is now, ahhhhhhahahahhaa!!!!

  • shiet.. tits and ass would have been showing on that screen if that was me... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA

  • LOL fake

    Check out my MJ video.

  • there's no such thing as brainwave, the thing is real, the brain has electricity within, it is just recognized by sensors and processed by a computer that translates into "UP" and "DOWN"

  • It looks pretty fake to me...but even if there was some manipulation, it would probably be from the movement of the eyes and not some freaky brainwave transfer.

  • lol this aint fake, this technology has been around for a year or so...

  • huh... That looks like that head device that Doc Brown has in back to the future.

  • LOL!!!!!

  • fake but apparently one guy is pretty slow, he didnt make the paddle go up fast enough LOL

  • this is fake

  • weird...

  • ...first of all, WHY are your related tags "bj, sex, mothafucka, and porn?" Second of all... thats just great, we all know how much we needed to make the world even LAZIER. Now these dumbasses don't even have to move... wow.

  • It is amazing, but i am sure that my grand kids will laugh when they see this device at the museum

  • lmao, total n00b. rekon there are jus two midgets behind the big screen

  • one day maybe it will function... that day, no more mouse, no more keyboard.... and brain hacking! lol

  • The guy on the right's paddle is stiff cause he's thinking about Mrs Pac-Man.

  • !!!!!! CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO !!!!!!

!!!IT WILL TOUCH YOU AS IT DID ME!!!

  • whoa how bout your computer typing for you by just thinking of the word sentence or something.. o.o

and and and.. the computer would also illustrate/display whats on your mind!! O_O
