im guessing SF rides tend to break down more is because theyre basically open 365 days a year, as CP is a seasonal park. that off time gives them time to repair. but thats just a guess...

since i worked for both now 2 years at both going on 3 for cedar fair i feel cedar fair is better. our company is not all bout cedar point thats just the flag ship park since its the biggest out of our company an i work at kings dominion its a every good company all the workers go threw hours of trianing every year where six flags gose threw a ride walk threw a test an then they run there ride CF we have to show that we understand wat out trainer is telling us an our marketing well cedar fiar

Their both great park companys,I've only been to one Cedar Fair Park and one Six Flags park which is SFMM and KBF.There both great parks!So stop complaing which one is the best!They are pretty much the same,and very friendly park companys!So im not going to pick which one is the best.

Its easier to put it in individual fights. In l.a. magic mountain whomps knotts. In Ohio I guess cedar point beats all. The match-up should be magic mountain and cedar point. Mid west should favor cp while us pac coast prefer mm.

@SFOG97 Never had that problem at any Cedar Fair parks I've been too. Have you ever been to Great Adventure where Kingda Ka breaks down all the time?

@SFOG97 Cedar fair parks barely have that problem six flags rides break down all the time and are down for long periods of time. Althought they do seem to be getting better. I havent had very many issues in the last few years except long breakdowns on kingda ka. kingda ka is only one ride in the whole chain. Top Thrill Dragster breaks down a lot two just not usually for over 15-30 minutes. cedar fair rides don't break down for long times in general and when they do they work nonstop to fix them.

I vote Cedar Fair. I think 101gabed is right about Cedar Point. I live near Kings Island. We r getting 2 new things for 2011 but both look okish. Windseeker looks fun but a coaster would be better. The dinosaurs alive doesn't look so good. I just want to reopen SOB and get a giga coaster. We started the KECO and Paramount parks, but which of those parks gets the giga coaster? Kings Dominion. We get more visitors than any other park in America, so we should get more coasters.

I TOTALY agree that cedar fair is focusing on Cedar Point to much. My home town park is carowinds and I'm not surprised we didn't get a new ride 2011. In 2008 we got the yoyo, 2009 the Carolina Cobra, and in 2010 the 23 million dollar Intimadator

(awesome coaster!) But cedar fair nnnneeeeeedddddsssss to add rides to parks like Valley Fair and California's Great Adventure. Cedar Point has basicly gotten a new ride every year since Millineum Force!

Six Flags and they dont have nasty slow staff thats a little offensive! And if you go to the smaller parks they are clean and the rides are always open plus Six Flags Parks are known world wide i have never heard of cedar fair until a couple of years ago!

@Coasternator As I said earlier not every Six Flags staff member is nasty. One of my friends works at Great Adventure. They used to be slow, unreliable, and nasty. With the new C.E.O they are improving.

Six Flags has nice employees and they respond to any and all emergencies. I'll admit to the great rides and other Staff of Cedar Fair, but I feel that you've only been to Cedar Fair and have probably never step foot into a Six Flags themepark. comment to Dsigamer64!

@DSiGamer64 Ever been to La Ronde? The staff there is slow and nasty... I'm not saying all the staff is bad but they really don't seem to care about their jobs also. I have been to Six Flags St.Louis, Six Flags Great America, Six Flags Lake George, Six Flags La Ronde, Great Adventure, and New England. I have been to less Cedar Fair parks. I only went to Kings Island, Cedar Point, Dorney Park, and Kings Dominion. Great Adventure is my home park so wouldn't I be biassed towards it?

@coasterfanatic100 ...My closet Cedar Fair park is 2 hours away more in traffic. Great Adventure is an 1 hour away from me. And Top Thrill has better reliability than Ka. Never had a problem on Top Thrill. If anything that's one ride! Cedar Fair operates their coasters better period.

i like six flags more even though dorney park (part of ceder fair) is like 15 mins away i there is nothing like el toro the third best wooden coaster in the world and kinda ka and nitro and bizzaro

@ahaha7980 I live about an hour away from great adventure and 2 hours from Dorney. Dorney isn't amazing but they do have good rides like Hydra, Steel Force, and Talon though. Great Adventure though is still better.

@gamepro217 Ya my home park is Six Flags Magic Mountain, we have 17 coasters and I never see all of them running at the same time. X2 breaks a lot too because of the rotating seats and audio and all of that stuff...

@trevercapito12 Well that's probaly because s.f. hires teens. But what do I know. The best S.F. park I've gone to is Magic Mountain. And the best Cedar fair park I've gone to is Knott's Berry Farm.
