yeah I've test driven one at Long and McQuade in Toronto, ON. it's amazing how good they sound with the factory heads on em.

We took it right out of the box, factory tuned and it sounds great.

is there much difference between those stock heads and Ambassadors? are their film composites different? or are they just Ambassadors with Ludwig logos on them?

Good question. They seem to have a different coating. I will compare heads tomorrow and get back to you ASAP.

There is a slight difference with the coating.

I also find that when using sticks,the feel of the head has more give to it.
