Seriously though, bits of fruit and vegetables make for a far better treat. Like humans, rats can "survive" eating all sorts of shite. In the end its no good for their longevity. I think your rat is as cool as hell but I wouldn't feed mine that stuff. Just saying. I love them so much I try to get the maximum life span out of them by keeping them fit and active. And to all the haters F you, rats are highly intelligent and clean pets.

LAWL my rat does that every day her name is Kunai and i loves her even though she is very fat. My other rat Suki is even more fat but she is aware of that so she runs around my house all day to get some exercise. I let her do that because she wont run on her wheel. Are they females? Because females are always on the go. Boys are more layed back and snuggly.

Young rats, under the age of one especially, are way too full of energy to sit with you, so I reccomend pinching them lightly, tickling them. They love to play like that.

They turn into couch potatoes around 1 year and 8 months.

I got Posie and Panzerfaust to be laid back by making sure I held them for about a half hour of the two hours they're out daily. Gaining trust. :3

First, you don't know what you're talking about. Shadow does not (and never will) eat food like Fruit Loops as his normal meal... I rarely feed him said food as treats. Most of his treat consumption consists of healthier foods.

Second, he's not fat... Just look up pictures of fat rats on Google and compare his size to theirs. He's a slim, healthy rat.
