On 3DS Virtual Console we get the Original Home Console version and and not this original handheld version so we lose the bonus modes but gain a higher resolution and the minus world which this version had taken out.

This was the first game i really owned, it came with my Gameboy Color, and i received it on Christmas 1999 :D

@JackOfSpades93 Yep. From what I hear, and as mentioned in the review, there's a high score board in the game.

If you're good enough and are able to get 1ST place, it unlocks TLL.

I think he noticed that the play control was slightly modified. He probably didn't stop to consider the reason why: Because the resolution of the Game Boy Color couldn't fit as much onto the screen, the player couldn't see quite as far, so jumps were more difficult if you couldn't see. To compensate, Mario can jump slightly further / higher in the GBC game than he could on NES.

The one in the intro? That's Battletoads in Battlemaniacs for the SNES. It's a tremendous game, but is very very hard. I believe these guys may have a review for it too.
