i really like rovers but i would rather have a diesel. the petrol v8 is one of the weakest in the industry. still a really capable vehicle. but anything that can show up and do their thing has my props
@c21rover The Td5 and earlier TDI's are very solid engines, will out last the rover V8 many times over :) They are very popular here in the UK because of the fuwl prices (the 300tdi is capable of 35+mpg easily) and the Td5 will do 30+mpg).
The Td5's respond well to tuning as well, power outputs of 240bhp are not unheard off for a seriously fettled engine :)
I live in Nashville & I can tell you... If you have the money & think buying a Rover puts you in the good graces of your neighbors, go right ahead.
Rover of Nashville always has a lot full of broke down Rovers. They'll be glad to fix your shit at Rover prices. You'll "fit right in" & be a part of that club
Buy a Fj80 & save the fortune... Oh wait... But that's a "used" truck and you'd be ashamed to be seen in it. Can't flaunt your stuff look like $ with something that costs less than $9,000
@c21rover haha yeah! land rovers are reliable in a different way and thats what most dont understand. if you look after your landy it will look after you. Land Rover= Best4x4xfar.
@c21rover word. nothing beats the smooth ride quality and unlimited capabilities of a discovery. these toyota fans obviously havent put a disco to the test or they wouldnt be so hyped about toyotas!
@c21rover dude dont take this the wrong way, but i'd thought i'd point out that while the quality of toyota has declined greatly over these recent years, the older ones before 2000 are definitely tanks
@F0ckUtoob Land Rovers may not have been triple checked out of the factory, but that doesn't mean we LR owners can't enjoy them. To each their own. We don't bash Jeep for copying Land Rover's Vehicle Terrain Response System and we sure don't stoop down to a Toyota level. Good day.
hey man sweet disco II. i have an 04 myself with the safari guard roof rack with all the hella lights. are you running those 265 all terrains on a stock lift or did you throw in spacers or a whole suspension kit for it? and is that safari snorkel?
This is also what Land Rover Nashville does to their vehicles on the lot. Then they clean them off and put them back on the lot. No, not the particular ones in the video, but them in general.
For clarification, they only take designated vehicles offroad, not simply vehicles on the lot. Ask them and they would be happy to tell you if a vehicle has been off road. Besides, this is what they are built for. No use having a Rover if you can't enjoy it.
Well...maybe but. The few times I have been riding at Wollys and Land Rover Nahville is there (by chance), I have seen maybe 5 of their various types of Rovers out there with window stickers on them. I don't disagree that thats what they are built for, but why take ones that look brand new with the windshield tags on? I'd sure hate to have bout one that was pre-wheeled.
thanks mate

So you like Toyotas and I like my Rover. I think there are enought to go around.
I seem to remember Toyota having to recall 3.8 million vehicles in September. That's quality?
