I know that fact ( the old SUPERB looks simular to an older PASSAT, the new SUPERS and new PASSAT looks very different - my brother get one new SUPERB ), but justansweres "looks like a damn Superb"... so understood, that Passat NICE, Superb rotten... so was like a "rhetoric question" ;-)

Interesting to see VW sells 3 versions of Passat in Chinese market, 1982 model, and 1998(filmed in this video) by Shanghai VW, and 2007 Version(called Mongotan) by FAW VW.

I think it is because some of the VW are made by Chinese themselves so they decided to invent with new name but it is still Passat. Just one correction, it is called Magotan. Cheers buddy.

if it's skoda superb based it could be a good car cuz that has a LOT of space in the back. longer wheelbase than european b5/b5.5 passat,

but they have the new passat there as well, only it's called Magotan

this ad is for the all new 2007 passat. It looks similar to the 1998 one but their engin and transmition are all brand new. You can find the spec on wiki about chinese version passat. this passat only sell in china.

this ad is from around the 2002 era, that doesnt mean that they still manufacture this version of this passat

You may get it wrong, VW still sell this version of PASSAT along with the latest 2007 version there, VW got it a 3rd facelift recently, possibly VW would sell it for another 20 years like 'SANTANA' / passat b2.
