In fact, it's probably safe to say that Texas is the only "red state" that is not a drain on the U.S. treasury. As for the comment that Texas would "take" other states with it, such as New Mexico -- NM receives $2.03 in federal spending per tax dollar collected, making it the #1 drain on the U.S. treasury, and more than cancelling out the 6 cent gain from Texas.
The primary agricultural product of Texas is cattle. While many people do enjoy a good steak, beef is hardly essential to our survival.
Keep in mind, Texans, that if you don't "export" your products to the U.S. after seceding, your industries will go bankrupt. So we will still get your "stuff", we just won't get your taxes.

Texas has received less funding than any other state. And %25 in income tax times our work force is more than most states. In fact the only state that has contributed more the the US than Texas is California. Of course they contributed more debt than money. Let's do some research instead of arguing blindly. For just one example of the ignorance manifest here, one of the motives behind the calling of the Constitutional Convention was to end to individual states negotiating their own trade agreements. The Constitution specifically gives that power to the national government and thereby prohibits the state from doing it. In fact, it's probably safe to say that Texas is the only "red state" that is not a drain on the U.S. treasury. all thirteen remained independent untill joining the union. The first was

I've visited New York, and Los Angeles, and saw more people in those places that smelled like pee, and didn't practice good hygiene than I ever did in Texas.
Let me tell you something, if you ever went to Texas and saw those gorgeous women down there, you'd beg them to stay! Texas must have more hotties per capita than any state in the Union.

This has got to be one of the most idiotic videos I have ever seen, I dont live in texas and I have never even been there. This video makes people who believe in freedom out to be idiots that are not welcome. Just because of one states political affiliation so many people want to get rid of it. Why not get rid of communist California. I think anyone who don't believe in freedom should be charged with treason. I would rather be a redneck than, a pussy yuppy, relying on everyone else for safety.
