My grandfather was from there and he was Lithuanian. 100% of everything was totally controlled by the Jews who lived totally separately from the gentile population like some type of strange mafia with whom you had to barter for everything and inevitably got ripped off. I must say this film brought memories, when i was little i took photoalbum from my mom closet l seen my grandmaother and grandfather from 1900's this film showed things i seen in the pictures,it just brought me to tears.I wish there were more films like this of suwalki.Thank you for posting this film.I must say one day i will pack my bags and visit my childhood city with my kids.

Wow jestem pod wielkim wrażeniem. Uwielbiam historię, widzieć swoje miasto w 1937 jest czymś niezwykłym. Ile bym dała, żeby zobaczyć na filmiku swoich pradziadków, czy dziadków, kiedy byli młodzi. Może ludzie w tamtych czasach nie mieli za dużo, ale mieli do siebie szacunek. Czasy się zmieniły.
