  • What program would you recommend to a wrestler?

  • Scott always cute....Scott sexy man!

  • What do they mean by micros and macros??

  • what should i do to increase bench press for chest???? thanks

  • Hi Scott,

You mentioned that Fernando should have got a C or D with 100 g of Protein. I have found some problems with the SHF meal plan including the required protein. I am 175 lbs and have a target of 77 to 271 g of protein according to the plan but I can get an A with only 90 g of protein. This is obviously not enough protein. I have found some other "problems" with the plan. Let me know if you are interested in this feedback.

  • I don't understand why people are hurting their brains over all thse questions about sets and reps, and whether they should do cardio before or after the workout etc...There are so many great strength/hypertrophy programs out there, why would anyone spend their time figuring out their own unique program when they don't even know how...what a waste of time.

  • What is your thoughts on the p90x program?

  • Hey Scott.Sent you an email, check it out.

  • what should i expect for a year of working out and proper meal plan and being an ectomorph

  • @e94rjones. It's from the super Mario 64 soundboard. The sound is power up.

  • Scott Herman, "the founder of Globo Gym".

  • Hi Folks, Just a question here since I am not sure how to answer this question myself. A friend of mine is just about to start working out with me ( I'm still not there though haha lol

). But we were wondering seeing his fat percentage is 23%. Would it work if he would maintain the Atkins diet ( little to no carbs but lots of protien ). To get leaner and some muscle growth ( not bulking ). So would that work for him or..?

  • hey i just got a surgery on my chest and i cannot work out for about a month. I was wondering how long will it take for me to get back into shape

  • @jissyk1111 if your nutrition is good, then your shape will stay.

  • @solarwile

    what about my strength?

  • Can I somehow inform Google that I already bought Galaxy nexus, so they can STOP SHOWING ALL THESE FUCKING ADS?!?!

  • whats seans ring tone o m g someone please tell me be so pleased

  • @e94rjones It's for my texts lol

  • @BOOMATHLETICS what is the tune at @10:30 please buddy

  • @e94rjones Honestly I don't know lol it's a sick beat that is in the zedge app for android I think. That one is my default ring the mario power up is my text tone lawls

  • Woah I have that same exact laptop. freaky............

  • Hey Scott and Sean! I'm beginning to develop stretch marks on the front part of my shoulder and it's beginning to travel down my biscep. Have you even encountered this? You're both bigger than me but I don't see any stretch marks on you. How can I prevent the growth of these stretch marks and/or remove the ones I currently have. If you would like a picture, I can provide one. Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it!

  • @Seneziod Stretch marks are apart of bodybuilding/weight lifting, you cannot avoid them. The way you can get rid of them is by using Vitamin E pills by opening the capsule and spreading it on your skin, or using vitamin e lotion. I experienced stretch marks the first 2 months I started bodybuilding and they were all over my biceps.

  • @KidApp Thanks for the response!

  • Sean has bigger arms

  • Sean you the man! Straight to the point No Nonsense!!!!

  • Sean smoked some POT

  • the only thing that makes you bigger is food and progression in weight lifted. doesn't matter what the reps are. you don't get bigger by doing higher reps, not if you're a natural. obviously if you do isolations, do higher reps as isos aren't physically suited to low reps, as you can't keep form. but otherwise, it doesn't matter as long as you're getting stronger. If you can squat 500 lbs, you're not gunna have small legs.

  • scott, what are your thoughts on zyzz's physique?

  • Comment removed

  • i really can't thank you enough for all those videos

dude u really have changed my life to better :D all your videos routines meal plan and the fb community page .... thanksss man :D

  • hey Scott! i'm just wondering, how often do you workout in a week? Last week i was 6 days, almost same spots like abs, back, bicep and triceps. is that too much?

  • i always drinkk my protein before and after my workout since its sort of a weight gainer and i want to gain weight cuz i have no idea how to get enough protein... just eat alot of meats

  • What was Sean's ringtone? I want it!!!

  • actually it seems to me like sean is taking over the conversation on scots show

  • Scott NEVER replies to my comments!

  • Hey Scott ,how can I buy your t-shirts I want one let me know , thanks

  • I would love to see a update of Scott's routines, extercises and weights, gains you have made yourself

  • badass ringtone. i like it

  • Should I bulk up eating a lot of heatlhy foods and then start to get lean? I would appreciate an answer :)

  • thanks guys, scott i learn alot from your videos

  • whats your ringtone called?sounds sick!

  • Literally all the answers to these questions are EAT! If your doing sports you have no worry to get fat. Just eat like crazy on clean foods. If you start to see yourself getting a little chubby than back off the calories a little bit. For the last guy if you have the energy in the morning to workout good. If you don't than EAT!

  • carb shifting and higher protein would help this guy. ask rob or max westetein they talk about carb shifting for fat loss

  • question 3# this guys never going to drop bodyfat eating 400 carbs!! an i doubt hes only eating 2500 calories with 400 carbs thats what pro bodybuilders eat. why scott didnt you address this?

  • @ray63087 To drop bodyfat he, at max ,should be eating 150 carbs per day...

  • @ray63087 The did indirectly by telling him to get protein up to what he weighs (150 pounds) Thus he is forced to cut 50 of carbs down and up protein by 50.

  • i dont think queations like these should be put up, because i dont think it would help all of us as we are all diferent

  • Scott Noobman........

  • Dare u to write back

  • @sunacheese lol

  • Hey Scott ever heard of a little guy called Mike O'hearn ? Pussy

  • My question is this:

I am on a swim team, however I also workout four times a week in the gym hitting my different body parts (for asthetics and mass) I also do circuit training on Tuesdays (20 minutes solid)

I do viking conditioning on Fridays (24kg kettlebell). I weigh 134 lbs and have 12% bodyfat, I eat a balanced diet and I've been working out for three years. I have started taking a mass gainer shake and I was wondering how this would effect me in the long run? cheers (46bpm resting btw)

  • @Seanynic You don't need to use a mass ganner. Just eat more. If you're going to use a mass gainer shake make sure its not high on cholesterol. In order to gain 1 pound of body weight you need a surplus of 3000 calories. The healthy way to do it is to have +500 per day. Thus you gain 1 pound per week. You need to figure out how many calories you're taking daily and up them by 500. Easy way to do this is by using the meal plan application on Scott's website, check it out!

  • @Seanynic Also, if you get used to drinking your calories with a mass gainer, as soon as you stop using it you're going to start losing weight unless you start eating more. So at the end of the day you have to eat more or keep using mass gainer all your life lol. All you need is isolate protein shake and keep eating healthy.

  • I wanna do Sean... Sean needs his own channel so that I can watch him too...

  • "SEAN I'M SORRY, THERES NO SALIVA IN MY MOUTH"

  • i don't know why, but i want to bite scott's muscles

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome vid! :D

  • i like scott but he brings down sean down in subtle ways. "wow sean you sure are winded today who the fuck says that kind of stuff. Seriously. To a friend? That's an unnecessary comment. And this is just one example, I've seen shit like this before.

  • @terry947 focus on the info the are giving u ..not the side talk....!!!!!

  • @terry947 "Long winded" is an expression dude. Why don't you calm yourself down. Nothing negative was said

  • @ScottHermanFitness seemed negative to me, but if not sorry man...

  • Hey Scott and Sean, I'm doing most of your workouts for my split training 4 days a week. What muscles should I work together because my workouts seem to be too long if I combine say your "Chest Workout" + Tricep Workout (Which are both insane by the way) Is it okay to throw in HIIT?

  • @chrantbau The goal here is to continue to try new combinations. But if your goal is muscle gain... that may be a bit too much. Are you eating enough?

  • @ScottHermanFitness well my goal is to be able to stay lean but still see products of muscle gain. I'm trying to eat enough with a good mix of proteins and carbs. So no to the HIIT then?

  • @chrantbau chest/biceps , legs, shoulders triceps, back

  • great advice as always, guys :) thanks

  • lookin' great sean!!

  • @howard12281192 Thank you sir!

  • lol scott how do you workout at the gym without people asking you shit the whole time?

  • u got it find the solucion to put subtitles in spanish for the people like me hahah damn!

  • I'm getting back into working out after taking about a seven year break. I'm wanting to bulk up on the muscle but also need to lose weight. I'm 6'9" and around 350lbs. According to all the calculations I've done, that's about a 30% body fat. Would you recommend dropping my fat percentage before trying to bulk up on muscle or bulking up first and then trying to slim down?

  • @SvenicusGermainus 30% is A LOT! you're obese!!! Start cutting ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can still gain strength and muscle while you cut. Any time you're 10 pounds or more than your goal weight, you shouldn't be bulking. Bulking is for people who want to get bigger, but in your case you are already big, thus you need to cut.

  • @SvenicusGermainus Go to Scott's website and become a member, use his meal plan app. It will tell ya how much you need to eat everyday to lose that weight.

  • Does Scott lift?

  • @bigbigboy16 see other of his videos and you'll find the answer.

  • Thumbs up if you think Scott & Sean are awesome

  • On my back

  • Scott I am 16 6,3 180 I have been wieghtlifting for about 6 months and love my body, but I have these strange stretch mark looking things before I was super skinny. My question is what are these and are they from growing in hieght or muscle growth. Thanks man:)

  • Why do you shout?

  • @ScottHermanFitness I recently read an article about something called "The Shrink Wrap Effect". According to this, your skin takes a while to adjust to your body regardless of fat. Many stars (Taylor Lautner, Ryan Reynolds, etc.) achieved this by getting lean for 2-3 months and then put on mass amounts of muscle 3 weeks before an event so that their skin shrink wrapped the muscles. The thing that confused me is that they advised doing low reps initially then higher reps for 3 weeks. Is this legit?

  • @kmantzel16 Worked for me brotha, there is more to it that the book "Visual Impact" talks about but yes its legit

  • Comment removed

  • YOU HAVE MY COMPUTER!!! lol

  • If you can play basketball every day, you're not working hard enough in the gym.

  • Here is a question for ya, are either of you certified trainers? J/W

  • @ExaltedExotics yes they are, you need to be certified to be a trainer in any gym.

  • @DarkNature85 Actually you don't. True story. Most gyms require it, but its not "legally required" (unfortunately)... I have a buddy who has trained at a golds for over two years and does not have any certifications. Plus I'm currently in school for personal training and know for a fact that its not required. hopefully that will all change soon.

  • @ScottHermanFitness What is the best cardio routine for losing body fat? Should I mix it up between jogging for distance and running shorter distances at faster speeds?

  • hey Scott how are you doing BROTHA!

  • Comment removed

  • My agency wants me to lose inner thigh fat, lower belly fat, and lower back fat. Any tips?

  • Madcow Intermediate 5x5 man.. build some serious strength, the muscle will follow

  • Sean has gotten huge!

  • to get 200 lbs lean with like 10% body fat, takes serious work, like serious work.

i'm 220 with like 20% body fat at 6 feet. to lose that 20 lbs and get down to 190-200 will take some serious cardio, dieting and working out, almost impossible but achievable, a goal i won't let slide away.

its called a work in progress, no gini or what ever will give you a wish to be jacked

  • I think if you wanna increase muscle mass beyond your natural genetics (bulking up) you will gain some fat along with muscle, not a whole lot but just enough to kinda cover up definition a bit, which by then you're gonna wanna focus on cutting down... but overall i think someone can definitely increase muscle mass while maintaining single digit body fat levels.

  • Ok Scot, I have a tough question for you. How can i break my plateau point? I'm stuck at 16 pull ups and i'm wanting to get 20 or more. I work out on a daily basis, and i'm taking a decent amount of complex carbs and good protein.

  • @OriginalThePk When your concentric output is completely fatigued, continue to do as many eccentric reps as possible. This will help increase your concentric output over time :)

  • @OriginalThePk Why don't you try this training method? When your concentric output is completely fatigued, continue to do as many eccentric reps as possible. This will help increase your concentric output over time :)

  • @OriginalThePk go to a lat pull down machine and do a weight you can rep about 15-16 times and do this weight every time you go to the gym until you can hit 20

  • best advice is get some african dna u wont have to do shit

  • is there a pattern to get the results that you want? i am not after the bulk. i just ant to have a lean body. but no matter what i do, i still could not achieve. the more i exercise, i felt lie my uppr body is getting thinner.

  • Do uou all really think that hyperthorphy is only gained by 8-12 reps pxaxxaaxax! I grew the most from 5-6 reps and low number of sets like 2-3 so why saying that bullshit that there is hyperthorphy and strenght routines! If you eat enough Strenght training will get you a lot bigger than the 8-12 reps bullshit

  • @landreev muscle is built through VOLUME. Hypertrophy can be gained in MANY ways and depending on what level athlete you are (beginner or advanced) you may see more muscle gain in a lower rep range. The subject is very broad and especially in your case, I do not know the variables involved in your results (training time, exercises, reps, meal plan, beginner, advanced, how much muscle you actually gained in "x" amount of time.. and so on..)

  • @landreev well theres sarcoplastic hypotrophy and myrofibiliar , sarco makes the muscle cells bigger and filled with a plasma if u will, and myrofibiliar increases the AMOUNT of muscle cells which contributes to density n thickness

  • @danthaman7777 but yes a calorie surplus is a given...

  • I just done a yoga class at my local gym and i was surprised at the intensity. I know it's not the most masculine thing to do but should I expect it to make any physical appearance differences.

  • u guys rock!

  • That guy talks way too slow.. Scott was a little impatient.

  • Hey, I am currently cutting and eating as clean as possible. How long does it usually take to see results after doing cardio, full body workouts, & dieting? Also, do you have suggestion for a student dieting with a college budget?

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for the great info

  • I weigh 116 any eating tips Im trying to be fatter and bulky-ish

  • @MalseX3 Eat EVERYTHING

  • @MalseX3 eat every 2 hours and half. eat lots of carb.

  • @mi3eky77 carb.? wht is tht?

  • @mi3eky77 carbohydrates I got it but I thought egg whites was important

  • @MalseX3 Eat alot and a pretty good trick is to have Raps oil or Olive oil in your protein shake. 1dl of raps oil is 900 kcal.

  • @Crafter07 ty, will try the oil

  • hey scott, should i eat carbs after my workout?

  • SORRY I IDISLIKED UR VIDEO IM SO SORRY xP

  • @topork12 you can press like again..

  • Very GOOD!*_*

  • hey scott, i'm a dedicated hermanite and i have a pretty simple question:

i train 6 times a week, is it normal to have less DOMS the more you workout? for example, if i didn't train for 2 weeks and then trained i would have pretty bad DOMS but if i did the same workout while during a normal week, i may not have ANY soreness the next day. Does that make sense?

  • @Maxter115 You should still have some soreness, even if you are working out regularly every week. Yes the DOMS will not be as bad as when you first start or if you stop and then you start again. When I first started I couldn't even lift my arms coz I was so sore. If you don't have any soreness at all that means you're not pushing yourself hard enough, you need to up the weight. Just move your muscles you should have a bit of soreness the next day or 2.

  • I fixed my workout week...and I am working eack muscle twice a week...1st heavy.. and the 2nd time around light and iso... 3 exercises on each day for 3 sets... and I have gain way more than once a week... why is that? Since every time I hear of overtraining??

  • @MemoPittBull Its ok to do it twice a week. I have a friend who does it and he's huge. But for him it just means 2 hrs in the gym each day. As long as you give your muscle time to rest 2 full rest days you should be ok since you're doing iso.

  • @DarkNature85 THANKZ BRAH... AND YEAH MAN... I FELT LIKE ONCE A WEEK WASNT ENOUGH ... SO I WENT TO TWICE... ON ONE DAY I DO HEAVY .. AND AFTER 2 DAYS HIT IT AGAIN BUT LIGHTER AND ISO...... FEEL GOOD BECAUSE I USE TO HATE WAITING TILL I HIT MUSCLES AGAIN LOL...

  • quick question scott, when your strength training.. and your rep range is 1-4, is it going to be 1-4 for every exercise?

  • not eating 3-4 hours before working out! i always eat an hour before for energy

  • scott i know there is alot of debate but how many times a week do u work chest iv herd its better once a week and iv herd 2 a week is fine. which one is it?

  • scott your awesome :) so are you sean ;)

  • ok can anyone answer this i lift hard and am training like crazy but i notice my left side seems stronger and very slightly larger. I am right handed and even tryed 1 rep more on right than left and it seems to not affect ??? i weigh 168 and just benched 215lbs at age 36 oh yaaaa.

  • @flyingeagleone have you tried muscle confusion? utilizing dumbbells? Also, sometimes it just takes time to even out

  • @ScottHermanFitness ya i am trying more dumbbell so i isolate each arm instead of barbell where arms are working at same time because i figure 1 could work harder! plus i thought if my left was weaker as i assume it could be working harder so therefor growing faster, thanks i will take a few weeks and see if it evens out! lol on all the phone calls. trying to get ripped for competitive cycling at 36 mid life crisis? who knows lmao

  • Hey Scott, I play for the number 1 football team in California and the number 7 football team in the nation. I need to go on a strict calorie diet for offseason, I'm being moved positions and in need to cut fat but maintain muscle. How many grams of fats and carbs would I need per day? I weigh 222 pounds

  • @JUGUNchocoman the amounts of your macro nutrients you would need depend on a lot more than just how much you weight. We must also take into consideration your body fat and activity level. Check out the meal plan system on my site. It will show you EXACTLY hwo to eat for your body type, goals and activity level. You an even add in all your own foods or choose from 1000s of plans loaded in the system. It will keep you on track

  • @ScottHermanFitness Scott I take 3 protein shakes a day + meals. I take one when I wake up, one after working out and one before bed. Is this enough to gain muscle? I weigh 140 pounds and I'm 6ft.

  • @ItsStyla count your proteins up, you should be taking 140grams a day. (one gram per pound) You can go 1.2 x body weigh in pounds if you want. But 1 pound per weight in pounds is enough. Also make sure you're eating or drinking calories every 2-3 hours. Furthermore, if your goal is to gain weight, you should be eating in a +500 calorie surplus. Become a SHF member so you can access his meal plan app. It takes all the guess workout of it. It will tell ya how many calories you need.

  • @JUGUNchocoman

You are in a number 1 athletic team and you don't know nutrition and what not? I don't even....

  • @JUGUNchocoman I'm surprised your school doesn't provide you with a dietitian / trainer or something.

  • Soccer players arent made to be big! I am a soccer player (semi pro) myself and it is really hard to get the lean big and muscular!...muscle definition will come in matter of time...believe me lol three months of training and youd be ripped from legs back abs etcc!

  • @israelsito07 I agree!

  • Hey, scott. I notice that all my muscles hurt after workout, but not my biceps, does that mean that they are not growing and im doing something wrong?

  • @MyGameSucks no it doesnt mean they are not growing. Maybe it is time to switch up your routine? Also, to grow your biceps you need to be hitting a hypertrophy range of 6-12 reps per set

  • @MyGameSucks You are probably aware of this, but muscle soreness has nothing to do with how the workout went or how your muscles are recovering.

  • SCOTT, PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS! WHAT IS CALORIES FROM FAT? WHAT EXACTLY DOES THAT MEAN? I CANNOT FIND THIS ANYWHERE! THANK U! BIG FAN!

  • @file2hd6026 it means how many calories are FROM FAT. 1 gram of FAT = 9 calories :)

  • @ScottHermanFitness

so lets say i eat something with 150 calories with 45 grams of fat. thats like, 600 calories!?!? please scott!! help mee!!!!

  • @file2hd6026 if it had 45 grams of fat... it wouldnt have 150 calories to begin with?

  • @ScottHermanFitness

well according to this meat packet i have, it says one patty has 150 calories with 45 grams of fat. something fishy, am i getting lied too?! UK bless u scott

  • @file2hd6026 Yes, 1 gram of fat = 9 calories so 45 x 9 = 405 calories. Plus I'm sure it has calories from protein too, so total calories should be even higher. In any case meat patties are usually loaded with fat, very unhealthy, don't eat that.

  • @file2hd6026 hrmmm.. i would have to see the food item to figure this out. Sorry brotha!

  • @file2hd6026 each gram of fat is 9 cals

  • @rupertcbr correct :)

  • @ScottHermanFitness Hey Scott, I work out a lot but I've got to a point where I can't lift any heavier and my strength has hit a wall and won't move anymore. I've tried eating heavier but I can't improve my strength, any advice?

  • @rupertcbr

how come some products dont match up? lean beef has 150 calories but 45 calories from fat. its from trader joes. please help!

  • What are the best workouts to get better at pullups? i can only do 7

  • @Dem0nicPanda

Check Scooby's video on pull-ups for that. :)

  • @Behindspace90 Scooby gives horrible advice do not use Scooby for exercise advice or tips
