  • You rawk too brother Paul! Rock on, my bro!

  • awesome bud\m/

  • Thanks Nick bro!

  • BTW, What are you using to record the loop you accompany in the end?

  • I use the first Boss RC-20 LoopStation. I'm due for an upgrade.

  • One additional mention on the Hand Signal clarification. It is also simply a Guitarists fingering pattern. Closed minded people need to get over their disdain for how people hold their fingers in the air.

  • True my friend, I don't let it bother me, just didn't want to deliver the wrong message.

  • never pegged u 4 a rocker tear it up bro loved it

  • I have a rocker in my heart bro and music in my soul... I'm a citizen of the world and a child of the universe... Thanks for watching and commenting brother Dion.

  • Pretty cool Video!

Two Handed Tapping is really a great technique..... Eddie Van Halen gets the public credit for inovating the technique... but who really invented it?

I bet someone did if before him... He just "POPULARIZED" it.

    What say you? :~D

    P.S.

DUDE! WHAT ARE YOU.... A SATAN WORSHIPER?

    Bahahahahahahahhaaa.......

I'm just nudgin your bumpers son.... :~D

    I read the blurb.

  • Hey Dave, thanks for watching brother. Emmett Chapman was the discoverer of the two-hand tapping (or touchstyle) technique, who also created the Chapman Stick, a very cool instrument played exclusively by tapping. Stanley Jordan later developed it independently and actually popularized it on the six-string guitar. Eddie Van Halen, Michael Hedges and other early adopters follow Stanley Jordan's "touch" technique. I'll write a blog article and do lessons on this technique someday. God bless.-

  • Emmett Chapman invented the tapping technique in the late '60s.

  • Stanley Jordan is AWESOME!

  • Yes he is. He was the first to also play two guitars simultaneously using his touch technique. So cool! (I have his DVD.)

  • My brother once told me that STANLEY JORDAN uses the tuning method of "PERFECT 5ths"

    Have you heard that?

  • I've actually read he tunes in perfect fourths: E A D G C F. Don't ask me what this means because I really don't know anything about music theory. I play by ear.

You can read about Stanley's technique on his website. Follow the link under "Education" called "Instructional materials on this site".

  • Your right... It's PERFECT 4THS.....

(Thats the way I tune my six string guitars)... I started out playing bass, and tuning a guitar that way just made it easier for me to understand.

I never liked the "DROPPED B" in the standard / conventional tuning method.

It just always seemed wierd to me.

I understand how it makes bar chords possible, but I still just never liked it.

  • It does expand the range of the guitar a bit. That's what altered tunings are all about. Great conversation, brother Dave. Thanks for engaging it with me. I can talk (write) about this all the time. Guitar music is my weakness. ;-) God bless.-

  • I like it.

  • Cool Quinoacat!

  • Hi Robert...I like it just as well this time as last time. Great tune, beautifully played as usual! HUGS! Suze

  • Thanks Suze, my friend!

  • Sweet! Sounds great :)

  • Thanks for watching Leslie!

  • Awesome Brother!!!

  • Thanks Smokeater Mike bro!
