  • @TurboDLT o hush...im sure it works this way just fine

  • You start knocking it down from the corner... not the middle of the room....lol He looks like a 3rd grader in art class...

  • Spray it wit a texture rig and then knock it dwn

  • )))

  • fuck all this texture bring back real plastering

  • Another purely commercial video with little useful info.

  • What is that tool!!?

  • certainly look perfect!

  • Fair enough , then....but I am not going to ask him!!- that might seem insulting......I will take a guess, having done linoleum printing before......I'll bet its some rubbery or linoleum pad that he's attached to a square foam pad, then attached it all to the stomp disc. Or a fine- haired flat pad...notice he shifts it every hit.

  • Could you knock it down, please.

  • Interesting ... I have done many finishes ca.knockdown. sunburst, slat brush texture spray ect. I know the camera does not show however I have never seen this style. looks faster and cleaner than ca. knock down. (over spray) obvious not an issue. However how do u aply the compoud?? spread by trowel or in the stomping device u used? hard to tell with camera? was compound placed then pulled ? or stomper added and pulled texture? and is the stomper for sale? or was that a unique prototype?

  • I need to know plz write me n let me know thankssss

  • I looked at the device that Scott uses - I had never seen one like it before - He builds them himself and believes that it is what sets him apart from others. I asked him if he'd be willing or interested in sharing with others. He asked that I not share and he expressed no interest in re-creating his product to sell. I don't know why, but, I do respect his asking and assured him not to duplicate or pass on his creation. I guess he doesn't know the value of marketing an idea.

  • A little drying time, another pass with the knife, a little sanding and you'd have a gorgeous flat-surface ceiling. I just don't understand why people like the texture so much. Never liked it at all myself.

  • I do apologize for not responding my email fills daily. Believe it or not this guy makes his own brushes from plastic and foam and actually removes all of the hairs from a typical stomp disk. He just buys a stomp disk for the attachment head for a pole. He won't give up the info so I'm going to photograph it next week. He is constantly in demand and he says he owes it to his style. The heavier and the thicker the compound the more dramatic. Sorry I can't be of more help right now.

  • Any way you could tell us how you apply the compound and what the name of the tool you use to stomp it and texturize it? im trying to do this technique in my basement but i dont know all the steps ...

    thanks

  • where could you purchase that brush.

  • What is the exact name of the tool your using to texture the ceiling with?

  • wow, nicely done.

  • Re: knockdown/layover details. Personally I am a carpenter/builder - here is the info. for Wallace Drywall (Eric) could potentially help with finding the brush - 330-268-3754

I have actually had a number of trades working in this particular home comment on the texture job. I can't say that I've really ever had trades look to that enough to have commented in the hundreds of homes I've built. Wallace did do an exceptional job.

  • that is a sweet brush ..... how many steps are involved here? do you put the joint mixture on the ceiling first, then tap with the brush? Or load the brush with mixture? The ceilng looks 'wet" so I am guessing the former. And, where can I get a brush like that? (a DIYer) thanks
