  • I really don't like it. :( It's a great idea in theory, but it just doesn't cut it for me. To my ears, it doesn't sing...it shrieks (and not in a good way).

  • Well hopefully the little electronic box is way cheaper

than a real Leslie, so if you can't afford a Leslie, the

Ventilator would be better than nothing, (I guess).

People who don't know what a Leslie sounds like

    would never know the difference.

  • it really sound fake

  • im sorry... I don't like it.

  • Ventilator begins @ 3:50.

  • im getting me one

  • To me the neo Ventilator sounds ok, maybe a little gritty.

The real issue as i see it is this: why would anyone buy a Neo V, a hammond 11pin convertor, 5+ cables, one PSU for the NeoV, and then two 40lb mackie speakers+2 power cables....isnt it easier to buy a real leslie, 3300, or even a 2101 mk2 - one box, one audio cable, and one power cable.

  • @sigiriuk It's not designed so much to replace a leslie more like substitute. You can use it along with your leslie or alone. It also is MUCH more efficent than trying to mic the to and bottom.

  • @AntTuck I also will agree its tough to beat the sound of a real leslie on a strong organ, but If I had to do it with this ventilator thing I wouldn't feel like I was suffering!! LOL!!

  • @sigiriuk Especially since the Ventilator will ventilate your wallet

to the tune of $500 just for the little box thing with knobs.

  • How well do you think it would work with a tonewheel organ and a PR-40 (non rotary) tone cabinet? Would the interface box allow it to be used thusly? thx in advance

  • @tonespinner Actually that is a tonewheel organ. I'll get Eric to reply to you about the PR-40 situation.

  • The Ventilator sound really close to a leslie but its missing some needed ingredients to make that sound. when Listening to the B-3 with122 leslie, It more pure and one can hear the wind from the leslie. The Venitlator sound good but it amplifies the tonewheels to much which makes the organ have a ratty pinging sound in the upper part of the keyboard. ITs like and amplified type writer tapping a constant speed. The good thing I can say about it is that the tone color is there.

  • Which type of Hammond interface box is that?

  • A great sounding organ

  • Just ordered mine yesterday! Can't wait to pair it up with my Nord Electro 2!

  • Eric, I'm shocked at how natural that thing sounded!!! This is a great option and addition for anyone serious about a good sounding organ!
