Sasuke is a part of the Akatsuki.

After Madara tells him about Itachi's true intentions, Sasuke vows revenge on Konoha. So, he changes his team's name from "Hebi" to "Taka", which assists the Akatsuki in capturing the tailed beasts. In return, Madara is willing to help Sasuke achieve his goal.
