These are non-commercial channels funded by a government tax which we all pay. But then I don't watch any TV shows live, so I always skip adverts. We don't get as many advert breaks here, and skipping adverts only takes 2 or 3 buttons presses (one to skip forward 5 minutes and then one or two 30-second skips backwards). No need to watch adverts.
