i have 2 cr 125s and the 82 and 83 honda cr 480 and yz 490 xt 500 and atc 200x and i find parts for 82 honda all thje time

Mine is gone..Believe it or not, no one would work on it..I asked the shops around here..I couldn't even find parts for it..People don't care about the classic bikes like they do cars..I could find anything for a '82 Chevy Monte Carlo.

Seems quite common with the 81 and 82 CR 250s. We had a 81 CR250 where the gears were entirely screwed up, wouldn't get out of first. I've had running bikes though, 76 CR250, 79 CR125 and 79 CR250 all good bikes. Currenly have 86 CR500.

Just take apart the transmission and buy new shifting forks, most likley they are bent if you can't shift like they were in the other 81. If you get lucky that's all you may need to replace.

Oh, get it into nuetral, then could be something else, maybe some dogs are busted or the shifting cam, you'd have to take it apart to find out but it can be fixed

ya well i have a 1980 yz80 that i got to restore and it stuck in 4 fourth and its no big deal just a little rod broke that eld the shifter in place and now it works fine haha...
