  • Great video,Randy. You talked about setting some goals.Well, one is working on my General upgrade,...almost ready to take exam,..just need to find an exam session. Second goal is get my antenna(s)up at my new QTH. Third goal is go after W.A.S award. Fourth goal,..and this will take a bit more time,...is to add a second radio to the shack such as an FT897D! My friend,Rick(AB9HP)is going to give me his Gap Titan TX Vertical for HF use,...have it up soon!

  • @KC9SYJ Looks like you will be busy

  • Randy I appreciate all of the hard work that you put into your videos.

I upgraded to Extra on April 23rd.

It took only a year and a half to go from Tech to Extra.

I'm glad that I'm at the top of the ham radio license game.,

    Take Care and 73's.

  • Hey Randy,

For the mix program try looking for oldversion for the software and it may be there. Also I would like to see some videos on 2M SSB 144.200 and such to generate more interest there and of course that would encourage the new techs to try something other then just 2M repeaters.

73 and keep em coming man

  • Randy, Are you still using the the Jabra A210? When received it it would not hold a charge. The red light would show for 3 seconds; I could never get the blue light on or pair.

Have you had the same problem.

I am guessing the battery need replacing. What do you think.

  • @007Sevenup I haven't used the Jabra for awhile. But I hear that the battery is a common issue.

  • Hello Randy,

happy new year. It was nice to hear you in V5 land. Good job all your Videos. I have seen in your QSL collection one card of my first DXpedition to Tonga as A35DJ in 2004. really nice.... 73 de DJ2HD Mathew

  • Kudos! Keep the great videos coming!

  • Great start to the new year to see a K7AGE video in the subscription list! Thanks Randy. I am a huge fan and look froward to each of your videos. 73! KF7ETX

  • Thanks for the new video Randy. You mentioned making a video about 20 meter dipole. I would be interested in a wire dipole which could be used on multiple bands. I will be taking the general exam soon and need to get an antenna up but limited on what I can do. Thanks again for all you help.

  • Hi Randy,

Happy to see you again. Don't stay away so long. 73s Charlie....

  • Very nice video, Randy. 73 de Curt

  • Randy,

  • im glad your back on youtube agn hi! hi!.......keep that camera rolling! ur doing such a good job.

  • Hi Randy

Long time no talk, great to see the new video.

Look forward to the videos on wspr mode and jt65.

I have been active on both those modes and enjoy using them.

Wspr is a great mode for testing different antennas and to see how far your signal can be heard at qrp levels.

73's and keep up the good work

  • Hi Randy nice video for 2011 Raday some day I try to make one hope to get it good like your 73' Denis

  • Quickmix is still available on the MMSSTV website. I have windows 7 and it does not work well, but if you have xp it should work. I would put the URL i here but it will get blocked. Just search for "MMSSTV" and once there click on "Extras & add on" in the left menu.

    Great Video Randy. 73 Tom - N2bew

  • YES! Thanks for uploading, Randy!

  • News Flash - KF5JJJ Russell passed his General, outstanding!!!

  • @K7AGE Hey,Randy. NASA is currently requesting help from the amateur and SWL community. NanoSail D2 telemetry reports are being requested(Jan 20,2011). The beacon freq. is 437.270...and the (2) line element sets are available at NanoSail D2 Dashboard. QSL cards are being issued for beacon / telemetry submissions. Congratulations,Russell !!

  • @K7AGE Congrats to Russell look forward to hearing him on the lower bands

  • go go randy!

  • Bravo! Glad to see your in good health and posting new videos

  • YAY! Finally a new K7AGE video! Very informative, thanks!

By the way, anyone ever tell you that you look like the popular skeptic "James Randi"?

    73!

    K4ARF

  • @kekejojo1212 Never heard of him.

  • @K7AGE James Randi is a popular skeptic and magician. Look his picture up on google, you look just like him!!

  • Great video -- I enjoyed it. Goals for 2011: I am studying for my General test; and I want to get my 20M dipole up to 30 feet (125/305 degrees), and then I want to add reflector and directors to turn it to a 125 degree beam. Big project, but that is what I will be working on. Keep up the great work. Your videos are sort of a "K7AGE University", and we all appreciate your efforts!

  • Very nice video Randy, good to see you back! I think your comment about "troubleshooting" is spot on. One of my favorite activities in ham radio, besides making contacts, is tinkering, I think it's more fun when things do not go right the first time, and you need to figure out how to make it work. Glad to hear all is well with you and yours.

    73,

  • Thanks again.... my favorite "Elmer" to us hams all around the DX world!

Appreciate all the videos and the time you've taken to offer up help to folks like me!
