@soullife9 That is because when the computer executes the code, it closes quickly. Add cin.get() at the end and it should work fine. If it doesn't ad a semi-colon. I haven't done C++ in a while, so I forget. :)

I know its a little late, but if anyone is looking to halt the system instead use

system("pause");

then it will wait for you to hit enter....otherwise great tutorial =)
