This is too close to home- Children' Services these days are a total joke. They took my nephew away from my sister and they're still letting his pedophile dad see him...while they're dragging their feet running background checks so my brother and I- his aunt and uncle- can see him. I miss my nephew so much! :'(
@MenollytheBeagle You could apply for kinship foster care - and take your nephew in to live with you. A CORI check should take a day or less. I am a foster parent, I'd advise that you call the office every few hours (and go over as many heads as necessary) until they let you see your nephew. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

When i was 15 i saw a friend get piced up by the police and taken to foster care. They got her by force. This really made me cry.
