Regarding your video work while kayaking, I run with a tripod that is secured up under the webbing of the front hatch on my SOT (Malibu X-Factor). I like that you can get quick pans with your helmet cam, but you may want to play with a mount like mine too. I can turn the angle of filming rather quickly. Anyway, good stuff and lots of fun.
Nice video. I'm very familiar with much of the territory you covered. I also did a little more research on the Greenland paddle before I got your response, and now I know it to be a formidable tool.
