I got a second 360 & the same shit happened again another red ring of death. Turned to PS3 & beside when sony got hacked had no problems + sony gave PS3 users around $70 worth of free shit as a welcome back gift. I had my PS3 for 4 years & it still runs good. I'm not surprise PS3 outsold 360.

Anything gimmicky or unconventional like kinect or motion controls suck imo I'd much prefer traditional controls like a game cube controller or standard xbox controller anything that uses just analog sticks and buttons is fine with me.

Well dude not really but i agree , The 360 beats the PS3 , Country's that support Xbox Live basically have all most units then Ps3 units , I am not sure if you didn't know but you can't have Xbox Live in all the country's in the world , But with the Ps3 it's equal everywhere , So if all country's could have Xbox Live , The Ps3 would be annihilated , So still the 360 is dominant on equal grounds :P ( North America , etc..)

I had all 3 of the current gen consoles. Still on my first Wii, same as my PS3. However, I went through four 360 consoles. Three of the four were R.R.O.D. as the first one had a faulty optical drive. Hopefully, the consoles that come with the Kinect will be more reliable. And yea, going to be going on my fifth 360.
I think after microsoft came out with the "slim" version xbox and kinect, especially for the holidays, they were able to sell a lot more systems. But unless they release something new like the next xbox their sales figures will plateu for a while!
I have a pc, wii and a 360(significant other pitched a fit over spending more money on video games when I tried for the PS3). The Xbox 360 is doomed for the time being, kinect or no.Politics and video gaming don't mean much in the US, but overseas, xbox 360 is an example of USA, which will hinder sales in the long run. But, I did get a NEW 360+kinect and tried it out. Unanimous decision of the household(2 adults, 2 kids, numerous neighbors): boring.
The kinect has helped as much as it can for xbox sales. Personally, for every one person who raves about kinect, one person hates it, and two people don't even give a hoot. I have a Wii, a PC, and a 360(big argument when I tried to buy PS3, my significant other showed just how significant she was on this subject). I did, however, get her to go in for a new 360(she liked the color) that came with the kinect. Both her and I were bored by it, and now my sister in law has it.

We be shipping so many XBOX 360,XBOX 360 Kinect Bundle daily about 3 to 9 pallets worth weekly. Ship about half a pallet of PS3 weekly and couple of DS. I haven't seen a Wii hardware shipped since 3Q of 2010 and PS2 are getting shipped more then Wii right now. By what I'm seeing daily I would say XBOX 360 is winning for 2011.
Personally, I really don't care about numbers cause in the end I get to game with whatever I choose. The only thing I care is that games are still being made for my console

Good luck getting actual sales figures to end user. They are always undertracked or overtracked. When you talk about "Real Console War" between companys its the shipped figures that matters, only fanboys care about sales to end user to gain some "ownage" points or whatever you wanna call it.
Back when dvd's were starting out digital distribution wasn't as viable as it is today. If you thought about it for a bit you'd realize that digital is the future of games and movies. And i get that blu ray has a grater capacity than dvd but i don't give a shit its all about the games. And speaking of games I'd rather play Halo over Killzone, come to think of it I don't hear or see Kilzone anywhere anymore. Oh and God of War has virtually no replayability. And how dare you forget Gears of War.
ps3 is definately going to surpass the 360 this year, I can't tell you how many times I've heard on youtube and in life about how ppl with 360's are planning on getting the ps3, plus we have some great exclusives coming out this year, and the move actually has hardcore games like socom 4 and killzone 3
The only reason Xbox has sold anywhere near as many as PS3 is because they break after 8 months, I've had my PS3 for nearly 4 years and never had a problem with it.

If it was, it would only be passed on any movement in that it sees, where as the kinect actually keeps track of where the person is and tries to keep up with them. Before you scream and yell, I agree that the kinect isn't that fantastic, but it also isn't a horrible piece of crap. The wii went through the same thing, coming out with a motion plus to make it more accurate

The kinect has helped as much as it can for xbox sales. Personally, for every one person who raves about kinect, one person hates it, and two people don't even give a hoot. I have a Wii, a PC, and a 360(big argument when I tried to buy PS3, my significant other showed just how significant she was on this subject). I did, however, get her to go in for a new 360(she liked the color) that came with the kinect. Both her and I were bored by it, and now my sister in law has it.

No I don't care about who sold more in sale. But if you want to know XBOX is selling like cazy for 2011 since like september. We be shipping so many XBOX 360,XBOX 360 Kinect Bundle daily about 3 to 9 pallets worth weekly. Ship about half a pallet of PS3 weekly and couple of DS. I haven't seen a Wii hardware shipped since 3Q of 2010 and PS2 are getting shipped more then Wii right now. By what I'm seeing daily I would say XBOX 360 is winning for 2011.

Back when dvd's were starting out digital distribution wasn't as viable as it is today. If you thought about it for a bit you'd realize that digital is the future of games and movies. And i get that blu ray has a grater capacity than dvd but i don't give a shit its all about the games. And speaking of games I'd rather play Halo over Killzone, come to think of it I don't hear or see Kilzone anywhere anymore. Oh and God of War has virtually no replayability. The only reason Xbox has sold anywhere near as many as PS3 is because they break after 8 months, I've had my PS3 for nearly 4 years and never had a problem with it.

@soggywaffles147 Oh don't get me wrong. Im no fanboy of xbox. I hate how they make u pay for online and how they don't have blueray cd's like the PS3. In all honesty, I am a PC fan. Anyway, yes I agree that the are meant to do the same thing and kinda do, but the kinect is a more advanced eye toy. The eye toy didn't have depth perception like the kinect does. All it did was look for movement. So in that regard, I think the kinect should be given some credit. Kinect's potential is really amazing

@bandgeek808hi Seriously? Okay let me get a couple things straight. The kinect is not just a copy of the ps2 eye toy. If it was, it would only be passed on any movement in that it sees, where as the kinect actually keeps track of where the person is and tries to keep up with them. Before you scream and yell, I agree that the kinect isn't that fantastic, but it also isn't a horrible piece of crap. The wii went through the same thing, coming out with a motion plus to make it more accurate
