awesome video! Thanks for posting! This wasn't the last gig with Pete-- but it was a gig they played only a few days after he was released from prison the first time in 2003 (for burgling Carl's flat...)
yeah - he does like the epiphone! Your US based - and the US is the ONLY place to pick up good old gats - I got my 61/62 melody maker for $245! You can find em.. on ebay - just go for the non original ones. There are a TON!!
the best I think..are the SG juniors.. AWESOME with a cheapo tremolo and the thinest neck you have ever seen.. I have a 72 SG custom also.. and really an SG jnr is the killer gat - for sound lightness and ease of play..
Nice. I have a 2007 dual pickup reissue; I love it(the pickups are like a P90 on crack) - but I wish I could afford an original. I also wish I could have seen the Libertines live. It looks like they had so many nice and small gigs. But, they never toured in California. :( I knew Carl played a melody maker alot, but I didn't know Pete did too. I usually see him with an Epiphone of sorts.

I never knew Pete played a melody maker. What year was it? Regardless, cool story.

This one is a 64 or so... my one was a 61/62 with a 68 paf pro in neck position.
I only really saw him use melody makers..
Mick Jones was lurking at this gig also.. and Bernard Butler also.. nice to see three generations of cool UK musos hanging out ;)
