That is a great video! THERE is a horseman! Horse is responsive, relaxed, handler is quiet, gentle, rewarding, there were some exceptionally difficult movements yet the horse performs well and the handler rewards all efforts! BRAVO!

This is amazing, those horse look very relaxed and confident.

You replyed to an earlier comment and said that '(the horses) were handled from a young age and acted like big puppies' Not crit in any way but was intrested in what methods they use. Like Monty and others, treat a horse like a horse so they are not 'confused' as to what they are.

Do these horse get treated like horses or more like dogs or babies?

Looks amazing either way..still don't like spurs though! :)

Yes. They use a gentle technique. They use the spurs as a form of stimulating communication, not as punishment. These horses are trained by a very experienced, gentle man who has a strong love and respect for the horses in his care. All of his assistants are expected to love and care for the horses and any abuse and mistreatment is not tolerated.

My Espanol is very limited. This was an amazing video. This man really knows his horse and it's easy to see the horse trusts him. I would love to have my stallion trained like that or my draft mare.

Hi- My husband and I were living in Guatemala when we did this report. I hold a degree in Equine science and I was so impressed with this trainer's relationships that he has built with the horses. They are all babied from the time they a foaled and all of them acted like big puppy dogs. The trainer uses a lot of patience and love training the horses. I wish you luck in working with your horses.
