That's not his fault and he didn't choose it to be that way. He makes money as an affectation of his film-making work, not vice versa.

Hannity is as usual full of shit. Fanny and Freddie were angry that the sub prime lenders were getting more and more market share. They went from requiring 20% down to insuring loans at 100% financing w/all sorts of teaser rates. They made other worldly profits. When the shit hit the fan(as it had to), the US taxpayer bailed them out. Oh, and they sold these totally flawed securities to stock portfolios everywhere. I've been in the bus. 20yrs and although basic, this was the main cause.

At the start of his first term in office of '81',one of President Regan's important agendas was to begin the gradual process of de-regulating anything but everything that was possible in our own country ... then the next step was to privitize what ever was possible! So, after 30 years of Reganomics, I think it worked out quite well! He screwed up California, as a Govenor, in the 60's so why not our nation in the 80's and beyhond?!

Everybody has benefited from capitalism. It feeds us for starters. That doesn't mean it's the best way or that non-capitalists are hypocrites. It just means that there's no other option. We're stuck in the system, that doesn't mean we have to like it or keep our heads down. What MM does is regarded by society as a high-status career, so is very well paid. That's not his fault and he didn't choose it to be that way. He makes money as an affectation of his film-making work, not vice versa.
