  • Ok which lateral link set did you get.. the 4 piece or the 6 piece?

  • when i get mine im gonna leave the muffler off

  • are those the basic R/A mud flaps?

  • Minnesota!

  • Hey man its your car, but I have been in a WRX with no muffler. lol i had one and bought it like that and it sounded half ok at a high rpm pull but low rpms sound lame ( my opinion ) coulda just been the car i had. no need to get all antsy.

  • AWWWW was hoping it would sound nice

  • love how your subie doesn't even drop when you step in

  • Lmao at wtf

  • is that a corbon fiber trunk if it is its badass

  • @BossHogg639 no thats a subaru sound. no other engine sounds like a flat four specially that hunk of shit neon lol

  • i think they should put a v8 in these cars and then put a turbo on it. these cars would fly even better than they already do lol. but staying with what they already have isnt a bad idea either. if a flat 4 ca reach 365hp then they have nothing to worry about

  • Holy shit man great sound

  • is the car still running strong?....i heard that modding these cars makes them less reliable

  • @sergsrt8 if u dnt mess with the motor youll be fine

  • @driftster99 how about bolt ons, headers, downpipe, exhaust, custom tune etc. is that ok for the car?

  • @sergsrt8 well a tune might mess with the reliability since you are making more HP and that adds more stress to the motor. headers, downpipes, and exhaust wont because they are basicly making the motor breath easyer and improving the reliability of the car

  • @driftster99 ok thanks, and by the way...hows ur car doing? lol

  • @sergsrt8 well this isnt my video but i do have a 03 WRX and its running pretty damn strong with a k&N intake lol

  • @driftster99 lol...one more thing, you said the motor is less reliable when it has more power and torque such as a tune, bigger turbo, etc. but what if ur engine is fully built and its built to handle the power? will the car last?

  • @sergsrt8 it depends. if the block and all the parts going in to building the motor are new and you have someone that can actually put all the parts together the right way without messing up then it will last. but if your rebuilding a motor that came from the car itll last but it wont have the same reliability as a motor that came from the factory or a new motor with all new parts and what not

  • @driftster99 ok, thanks for the help

  • @sergsrt8 no problem dude

  • @driftster99 but guess what. if you strap all that crap on your car WITHOUT a tune youre fuckin your shit up even more. But maybe your subie likes to run lean

  • @potc420 no shit sherllock. its obvious that u would need a tune after installing parts like that

  • Lol yes.

  • Is this bad for the enviroment

  • are those stock scion tc wheels? Ive been wanting to buy some and bore the hub out to fit my wrx

  • will u get a ticket with no mufffler or is it ok 2 have a stright pipe ?

  • hey am getting a 2002 or 2004 Subaru wrx as my first and would like to know what are a couple good mods i can do to improve the hp and torque also still be good on gas.

  • Personally I wouldnt waste the money of my WRX to just rip off the exhaust and have it sound like a truck but its his car.. ( Poor Subaru ) :(

  • @thepatrickfinn He didnt rip the exhaust off, he unbolted it. He can always put it back on if he wants. I ran my car with no axleback for a few days while i was waiting on and exhaust gasket and it sounded awesome at high rpm pulls.

  • @thepatrickfinn You have no idea what this sounds like in the car at 5-6k rpm, wot, with a 3 inch open exhaust. My god its sweet

  • @coolgames14 I know lol I was kidding. My dad had a 2002 wrx sti, and that thing was sick! It's blue and had gold wheels. I have it now and it's fabulous with a carbon fiber hood! :D hks exhaust.

  • vf34 is ok but the 22 is better

  • l4 haha thats hillarious you fucken retard there H4's

  • @derglegnartertar If you're going to insult someone by calling them a retard, at least use proper grammar and spelling you RETARD.

  • @Boosted3GV6 i must retarded because i don't see what i spelled wrong

  • @derglegnartertar *they're

  • @ehallesy2007 ahh gotcha

  • LMFAO niiiice @ 0:11 you can hear the fuel pump..

  • when it idles it sounds like a tractor. lmao

  • @CoreyCross2 boxer engine was use on bike, that aint no tractor

  • i took mine around the block like that once

  • sounds like my wrx when it had exhaust leaks

  • NIce car. needs muffler tho. Sounds like a dodge neon.

  • nice, i bet local pd loves it too ha ha

  • @loadedlover12

    H4, not I4

  • @HKS240sx haha my bad i thought they where inline

  • @HKS240sx technically it is a 180 degree V but no one should care i just know the engineers the created this motor r amazing and probably never thought about how good it would sound

  • @Stg4100 its an flat not a V.. and its not the motor that makes the sound its the unequal length headers/turbo manifold

  • @HKS240sx why h4? cuz subies r boxers?

  • @aHeManWomenHater h4 is a flat four, aka boxer engine. i4 is like a motorcycle engine or a honda engine

  • @HKS240sx I4 = inline four, still stupid comment considering it's a boxer

  • @loadedlover12 yeah its a horizontal 4 cylinder.

  • Sounds like a flat-head 5 HP Briggs engine... Hahaha

  • it sounds like its dying ..

  • stock tranny can only hold up to 300whp so anyone at 300whp thats like the wrx limit unless u go mad

  • @theungrateful34 It's torque that kills transmission not HP. Shock will also destroy a tranny pretty fast. I have a buddy that ran low 11 on a 4EAT. If you're careful the tranny will last but most running high hp and torque do a 6MT swap with r180 diff/axles.

  • how were those GP Moto headers?

did you see a decent gain? - i have a set in my garage, debating on putting them on or not.

  • good lord. the mods are crazy! very nice very nice. i love subarus.

  • @tehshadow23 this car really ain't shit just a bolt on wrx. VF34 is a relatively small turbo.

  • @pinespeakz

It is just a bolt on WRX, never made it out to be anything but that. I certainly wouldn't say that it "ain't shit". While I still had it it handled unbelievably with the suspension setup it had, almost no lag with the ported/polished vf34, and relatively flat powerband. 300awhp/tq is fun in anything, but AWD and with the suspension setup it had, it was pretty amazing to drive.

  • @pinespeakz What do you drive? Can we see it? What are your lap times at various circuits? Shut the fuck up.

  • not thought of going for hybrid turbo?

  • one of my friends have theirs straight piped it has a intresting sound

  • To All The WRX owners do the WRX's break down easy just wondering

  • @MrLagunero15 stock wrx trannys are like shooting your grandmothers china collection with a shot gun, if you drive your car hard. If u drive your wrx like your grandmothers china collection was inside you will never ever have a problem. I blew second gear up and im only 20 horsepower over stock, but i was driving the crap outta her when she went lol. I love my wrx and am waiting to buy a new gear set, then back to the track i go.

  • @badSTI That's not true at all. Most of the people who destroy WRX trannies aren't familiar with true AWD cars. Just don't side step the clutch and most will hold up just fine. I made about 290whp and my tranny held up great.

  • @HKS240sx I am very familiar with AWD drive cars, and my tranny would still be fine if i only drove my car as a daily driver, but for the people who want a WRX to hit the track in or even rally cross events like I used to do, a stock wrx tranny will be destroyed pretty rapidly, unless u baby it. But i am talking early wrx trannys, the new wrx's trannys i cant speak for. My tranny held up for 165,000 miles, then i raced at the track and ka-boom.

  • @HKS240sx whats side stepping the clutch?

  • @ChicanoRockero sidestepping is a car racing term. This term is only with cars that are manual The slightest edge of the left foot will be on the clutch and the clutch pedal will be all the way down to the floor, so when the car is ready to launch from standstill, the driver will simply move his toe and pop the clutch.

  • What kind of wheels are those?

  • nasty!!! 0.0

  • @HKS240sx do you live near maple grove?

  • your selling this car for how much and where are you located in mn?

  • your parting it? how much for your top mount...?

  • sounds mean!

  • Why run aftermarket fuel rails for anything under 500bhp? Anyways nice suby, I had that same turbo before I got my ATP 3076 turbo.

  • damn man this thing has a shit load of mods man thats amazing

  • I really hope you pressing on the brakes at the beginning doesnt mean its an automatic.. hah.

  • sexy muzic.... :-)

  • sounds good

  • hey where did u get the carbon trunk from and how much did u pay?

  • Equal length headers... that makes my heart sad.

  • Does it sound like it has EL headers? They were taken off about a year ago, obviously it doesn't have them in the clip.

  • @Kstorm88 First off, those aren't EL headers. Second off, it's sad that you prefer sound over actual performance, which is what EL headers provide. Well done man...

  • @Kstorm88 that doesn't sound like EL headers it sounds like a crappy camera mic, sorry HKS240 :(

  • @f575gtc

Sounds the same on my computer as it does in person. Possibly bad speakers on your computer?

  • not true about the chevys.

sweet sound :) i like the spooooooling

  • if you could make love to sound....

  • ive seen this car around..really nice

  • @99ACE97 un true, they can have even more HP, you have no idea what the hell your talking about you redneck fuckface, this thing would blow away your white trash peice of shit chevy.

  • @ddriver22 Hey man i love subaru but you dont know what your talking about. Yes this subaru is bad ass and i would love to have one but chevys simply the shit. I have seen a 2000hp 2009 twin turbo corvette lingensfelter. so dont tell me that chevy is slow. and stop the racist shit dude, not everyone who drives a chevy is white

  • @70Chevelledude the fact that people argue about a chevy and a subaru is completely retarded to me, a stock sti is gonna rape a 2000hp corvette, lol, in the snow or dirt. They are completely different types of cars, just depends on what u want.

  • @HKS240sx why?

  • Wow that does sound nice, wrx's are insane.

  • how much??

  • how much cash have you put into this thing so far?

  • doesn't sound bad for 4 or 6 cylinders? i love american muscle with a passion but these wrx are a weak spot for me i love them these r fucken sweet!!

  • It's a 2.0l 4 cylinder that is producing that noise

  • @albertorosales6 thats the boxer motor noice, none of that inline ricer sound.

  • how many lbs of boost are you pushing?

  • 17 psi

  • to je sračka!!!! ubožák z USA!!!!!!!

  • ceska zbrojovka

  • hroznej zvuk co??? teda slysel jsem hodne ale tohle!!!

  • Nemám žádné klíč a co vás něco řekl. I don't mluvit česky, i jen vlastní pistole provedené ceská zbrojovka haha.

  • SOUNDS LIKE A FUKIN TRACTOR

  • mind if I use this set up? haha

  • Almost sounds like a diesel when you started it up :P

  • I wish you had a clip of this setup at WOT on the road. It sounds pretty scary just idling. Nice, mang :)

  • oh btw the car sounds mad!!!! sweet sound

  • god i love the way wrxs sound. i have a mitsu eclipse gsx with straight pipe and ur wrx sounds wayyy better

  • That 34 sounds beautiful comming out the exhaust. Beautiful car too.

  • you cant blow up a motor just from taking the muffler off dumbass. Monster trucks run straight off the headers, do they blow up?......No. learn something about cars retard

  • dude you cant blow a motor. If you straight pipe it the engine has better breathing. A muffler just means more resistance to flow. I race a diesel and i had to straight pipe it so it could breathe better. Where did you hear that the engine could blow?

  • hacker1462 was saying that could happen . i know a straight piped motor wont blow. i have a 98 chevy with a vortec 350 with true dual no cats or mufflers straight 2.5 inch pipe into 4 stainless tips at 45's

  • Yeah i have never heard of cars blowing up just because you straight pipe them. But dude sweet car a Chevy with a vortec. Nice my friend. I will post some pictures of my car. I have a 1.9 diesel TDI. I modified it to be a rally car.

  • No, but tuning will be off slightly due to less back-pressure. Also, on an N/A car it is bad for the heads and valves. Will it blow after a few minutes? No. Will it likely blow at all? No.

But (on an Non-turbocharged car) running straight pipes or just headers, especially without tuning for that loss of back pressure, can increase your chance of failure.

Turbos are already exponentially more restrictive than a muffler so no difference there as far as damage goes.

  • ur gonna get smacked for saying that...

  • The less back pressure on a turbocharged motor the better. No, you will not blow your motor on a turbocharged vehicle for running no exhaust. All you really need is a few inches of downpipe and you'll be fine. On a naturally aspirated vehicle some say running open headers is bad because it supposedly ruins your valves because of the temperature differences between the engine and outside air.

  • Nice! working on getting a New STI project here soon

  • Sounds sick

  • Not quite, it's not open DP it still has the midpipe. I'm working on getting a new axle back

  • your gonna die from carbon monoxide poisoning

  • lmao

  • I am going to take a dump down your throat
