I heard a sound that reminded me of one of the sounds the train makes and it sparked a wave of memories including jumping from car to car, crouching under shit, jumping over shit, and getting killed by ig88 20 times before finally killing him, as well as being reminded of the all the other fantastic and diverse levels that game had to offer. I thank you and my n64 thanks you as today it will have several years worth of dust removed and get put back in action. Might also have to play Goldeneye o
As brown and ugly as this looks today, I still find this game quite impressive considering how old it is and how new and primitive the technology used to create this sort of thing must have been back in the mid nineties.
"Primitive" ? The hardware used in the Nintendo 64 was an offshoot development of SGI computers. The same computers which they did Jurassic Park with.
@clubpenguin445 when i was that age i had a yellow Gameboy the size of a brick with black and white display:P and a jojo.. great times. early ninties were the golden days of gaming, i pity people growing up with cod 4
@clubpenguin445 I thought SW was lame until I saw pictures of this game in Nintendo Power and decided that it looked cool enough to buy regardless. 13 years later, Return of the Jedi is still my favorite movie. Rock on, SotE.
Dude, I totally remember them being crystal clear as well. I started playing this when I was about 7 or so when I got my first N64, came with it. I'm 17 now and just bought Star Wars Force Unleashed. Those non-movie characters really bring a spark and I remembered Dash so I youtubed this and whoa!...how I thought the graphics were better in this game 10 years ago than today. Strange how as we age we notice much more.
This is my ultimate favorite level of all time. Excellent job there SuperNintendan! I also love the soundtrack for this stage as well. Long live the 64!!!
we now know there were at least 2 junkyard planets in the star wars universe, this one here (ord mantell) and also rexus prime i think its called from the force unleashed! which was a lot more hostile than this place lol! cool game by the way, i used to have it in fact i think i still do have it tucked away with my old nintendo 64 somewhere!
ahhh ... my friends this game brings me good memories, it was not very popular when it was released, but it is one of my favorite star wars games.
I see here have many who enjoy this game:) too
the boss of this stage is a @ # $% ... and that his voice, bizarre voice of hell ...

@Draknfyre oh dear, I've just re-read what I posted and I didn't mean to put primitive :S No idea why I put that, I meant the opposite!

This was the only starwars game I ever loved, the most lonely, drepressing and eerie one by far. Perfect for N64s misty graphics engine.
