i have to say i loooove how you say "and again i am not a professional" and then say how you dont do things as good as they do... like "i have to dip the brush 3 times" don't worry girl just be the super great girl that you are.
Hehehe colored people have more talent white lolz I understand y it made u giggle. As a matter of fact were just as even as white/fair people lolz. :) great tutorial and I like the fact that u use your own technique it shows that not only professional ways work n that there is no correct way to apply as all salons use a different technique.!! Good night (from Australia)
@ikyvet78 LoL I know I am so tired of saying it but I keep getting tons of negative comments about it so I have to keep saying I am not a professional, sounds funny but it seems some just don't understand that this is the method that works for me and it might not be the correct way to do it but it worked for me. and You are so welcome I'm happy that you found this video helpful.
@hope1113baby Maybe they make tutorials so others can give them suggestions on how to do it better.... I am not a professional and I don't even wear acrylics anymore my nails are long and completely natural but this video was over a year ago and I was showing how I extend the length of my natural nails, you can see in video my natural nails are already long. Thanks for watching and have a blessed week (^_^)
@candykidscourt Thank you so much (^_^) If I had went to school they would probably look a lot better.... lol I've never taken a class I just experimented (^_^) I don't use acrylics on my nails any more though. but Thank you so much for such a nice comment.
@bossydavis I hope it works. you definitely have to file your nails alot before acrylics. I don't like doing it because it thins your natural nails so much but in order for the acrylics to adhere better you have too unfortunately.
Hello I am needing to know why when i get my nails done the next day they fall off what are they doing wrong so i don't make the same mistakes they did I am going to try and do my own at home after watching this video but need help first
@bossydavis If you are using acrylic it might be that your nails are oily. Before apply acrylics you definitely have to file your nails and roughen them up some on top to get rid of all the natural oils on your nails. you will need to apply Nail Prep or bonding liquid. I used BOND-AID. After applying the acrylics u want to make sure that you get none on your skin & you want to file/drill around your edges and cuticles to get it smooth & keep it from lifting Filing before apply is very important
@bossydavis After buffing nails before apply acylics be sure not to touch your nails or wash hands until you have have finished apply acrylics and buff them smooth because if you do you will get oils right back on the nails.
@bossydavis Hy i am an beautician and i can tell you some ticks.First of all do not wash you hands or made a bath or cleaning house before recostructin.Disinfect your hands and wipe the nails with cleanner, buff with a buffer you nail untill they look like an gypsum cut very well your cuticles then put the primer very carefully without touch the cuticles area!!Then proceed with acrilic or gel always without touch the cuticle area.Good luck! greatings from Romania
@madwebber Aww...Thank you so much (^_^) rude comments doesn't bother me at all lol I clearly said I am not a professional and title of video says how I do MY acrylics nails with emphasis on MY lol. Thanks so much lol nope its not weird you aren't the first to say you love my accent lol hehe Thanks again and have a blessed week (^_^)
I like your video so much, thanks for sharing it! can you tell me what's the name of that thing you used instead of the fake nails to shape it? thank you very much
@missnailarts I know what you mean, I purchased some before and the scent was in my house for days after using it. Yes, the one I used was odorless. I only use it for 3D molds now though, since my nails are natural now. But the kind of acrylic liquid I used was OPI Clarite' Odorless System Liquid Monomer.
@BooBear229 Acetone nail polish remover and acrylics dry your hands out, that's why cuticle oil is used after you finish filing and buffing nails. If my hands look dry this is why. Thank you so much for watching and Have a Blessed week (^_^)
@BooBear229 no, I never get smart with anyone (^_^) I have a drama free channel, so I don't entertain drama at all.. (^_^) Sorry if you took it that way. Have a blessed week (^_^)

@shawdiea Thank you so much for such nice and encouraging words, I really appreciate it. I don't let other negativity bother me though, I'm use to getting rude comments and it just doesn't bother me at all I'm going to do me and be me all day everyday lol. Anyways this video was done over a year ago and I don't even wear acrylics on my nails anymore, my nails are all natural now.. but I did say I think lol that I wasn't a professional..
@baybeenicclo My nails are natural now this video was over a year ago and I don't use acrylic on my nails anymore. But at the time I used clear acrylic on my natural nails because I was about to paint them anyways so it didn't really matter to me. If I was going to wear them natural I would have used a pink acrylic at the top of my nails and a white acrylic on the tips of my nails, that way it would look more like a french manicure when I was done.
@baybeenicclo she just said she was doing a nail design on her nails afterwards so why would she even care about her natural nails showing through the acrylics. duh......... SHE WASN'T GOING FOR A NATURAL OR FRENCH MANICURE LOOK WHEN SHE CLEARLY STATED THAT SHES GOING TO PAINT THEM IN THE NEXT VIDEO.... some people just don't listen....
nice job but i think you need a better acrylic brush that has a round tip and thicker, it holds the nail liquid so that you dont have to dip so many times
@msbrendena Thank you so much (^_^) I did this video a year ago and I have actually purchased a round tip brush and it does make all the difference in the world, you are so right, Although I don't use acrylics on my nails anymore, they are natural now, I still use the acrylic liquid for my 3d nail arts and the round tip brush is so much better.... Thanks again and have a Happy New Year (^_^)
Hello. What's the advantage of doing the overlay this way and not using the tips? I've not done this before but looking to give it a try on my big toe nail, which doesn't grow. Thank you!
@62holden Hello, I didn't use tips because my natural nails are already long I just wanted them a little longer. The advantage is I didn't have to cut my real nails, I just extended the length of them, although I don't use acrylics anymore though. Usually if your natural nails aren't very long, tips are added. You can add a tip on toenail and apply the overlay on top or you could build a toenail out of the acrylics. If toenail is really short I would probably just add a tip then overlay.
@jessijade1 you can do a search for "how to apply acrylic nails" they lasted for a month then I had to do a fill in because my nails were growing out. I don't wear acrylics on my nails any more though I just wear them natural. The kit I used was by Clarite' Odorless System by OPI. I like it because the acrylic liquid doesn't have a smell at all. Most acrylic liquid have a extremely strong odor. The thing i use on my hand for the extension is called a "Nail Extension Forms"
Great video and informational....I just have to say that even if I wasn't trying to learn how to do my nails, I would watch this! I was having a bad day and your video made me smile! Best personality eva! Wish I had friends like you!
@bstjrk Thank you for noticing lol. If you look at date this video was a year ago. and I had just started doing videos. I don't even do acrylics anymore and I am soooo relaxed (^_^) Trust me. Have a blessed week (^_^)
@desiyboo20 2 reason 1 its hard to get off lol and 2 because it will cause lifting after a while, that's why at the nail salons the file and drill around the edges really good to keep it from lifting. If it lifts bacteria can get trap in between the overlay and your real nail causing a fungus. Which can get really nasty sometimes.
@zunigita1 Oh, I didn't mean it in a negative way you just made me laugh by the statement, no offense intended. we are all talented in our own way:) I hope you didn't take that the wrong way if so I apologize. Have a blessed week (^_^)
you have beautiful natural nails. also, if you're uncomfortable with your brush, you can get one at Sally Beauty or online, for under 10bucks or so. your brush makes all the difference in form. it will help you with your overlay technique. also, if you swipe your brush just a little more, your bead won't be so runny with liquid and you'll have a quicker form of a nail rather than going back and forth adding powder and liquid to your nail to get a good form. for an amateur you're really good!
@starsovertexasnails Thank you so much for this info very very helpful. I don't do acrylics on my nails anymore though but if I ever do I will definitely give it a try. I really appreciate the information. So thank you thank you thank you :)))
@NativexBitchezz umm It takes time to do acrylics at a Nail shop too. I stated if u watched the entire video that I am not a professional and that this is how i do MY Nails and what works for ME. MY and ME are the key words. What works for me might not work for you. Or the method I use might not work for you. Do what works for you if its too long I'm sure there's some professional on youtube with a better shorter method. I'm not being rude just stating the facts. ty u & have a blessed week.
@NativexBitchezz If you find a better shorter version feel free to send me the link. I'm always willing to learn. Even though I don't wear acrylic nails anymore and I probably won't again this video was a year ago.
Very Very good ,,dont worry, u doing very good job Darling ,, i did wach some videos and they complet rubbish about acrylic nails,,,,yours is perfect ,Gd luck x
@makeupqueen666 not very long just a couple of minutes, by the time i'm done doing all my fingers all of the first hand i done will be dry. and while i am filing my first hand by the time i get to the second hand its dry as well. so theres basically no waiting.
@mulatasoy84 Thank you so much, No the extension held on great, they didn't break and it stayed on till I soak them off. I kept them on for a month in a half, i did a fill in when my nails grew out.
I like it alot. I think wat would make it really cute if you did a white tip and maybe even a flower. do you think that you could make a video of that. :) Good job. ! !
@zebraboww Thank you so much, the next time I do a overlay I might try to do it with a flower, but honestly I hardly put acrylics on, lol I just wear my natural nails, however when they break sometimes a wear acrylics until they grow back. I do have one video that I did on my natural nails though no acrylics, that I painted a french manicure on and a flower but its not with acrylics on.
@Migliux555 Yes, these are my real nail, I just put an overlay on them, some of my nails I extended a little bit with the overlay. Some of my nail were a little shorter than the rest and I wanted them to be the same length without cutting my real nails that were already long.
gorgeous nails and hands!!

How long do they take to dry ???
makeupqueen666 1 year ago
@makeupqueen666 not very long just a couple of minutes, by the time i'm done doing all my fingers all of the first hand i done will be dry. and while i am filing my first hand by the time i get to the second hand its dry as well. so theres basically no waiting.

mulatasoy84 1 year ago
@mulatasoy84 Thank you so much, No the extension held on great, they didn't break and it stayed on till I soak them off. I kept them on for a month in a half, i did a fill in when my nails grew out.

I like it alot. I think wat would make it really cute if you did a white tip and maybe even a flower. do you think that you could make a video of that. :) Good job. ! !
zebraboww 1 year ago
@zebraboww Thank you so much, the next time I do a overlay I might try to do it with a flower, but honestly I hardly put acrylics on, lol I just wear my natural nails, however when they break sometimes a wear acrylics until they grow back. I do have one video that I did on my natural nails though no acrylics, that I painted a french manicure on and a flower but its not with acrylics on.

Are they real? The nails
Migliux555 1 year ago
@Migliux555 Yes, these are my real nail, I just put an overlay on them, some of my nails I extended a little bit with the overlay. Some of my nail were a little shorter than the rest and I wanted them to be the same length without cutting my real nails that were already long.
