  • Thanks for posting this video , this comb jelly is wonderfull

  • cannibal jelly D:

  • like if you wanted to see if it would eat something

  • very interesting animal

  • part two of my questions: do i just get sea water from the ocean or petstore sea water? do they need a heater? what kind of filter do i get them i dont want them to get sucked up i have a 1-3 gallon whisperer filter. it sucks in from the bottom and spits out water from the top. thank you and please reply!

  • Im might get a comb jelly and i really need your help.

tanks-in the video i saw you were using square tanks, and i have a 1 and a half gallon tank could i keep 2 in there or would they eat each other? if i cant keep 2 in a 1.5 gallon i also have a 4 gal bowfront. or would it be better to buy a cylinder tank?

FOOD- what do they eat and how do you feed them? u said they were canibalistic, so does that mean i can only keep one? and keep getting small jellies for it to snack on?

  • @FuzzieBuddies the best tank is an 8gallon biube and they eat brine shrimp that you can get in frozen cubes that you just defrost

as soon as i setup my tank ill send a video

  • Can....I eat it?

  • Holy shit it looks like a toy, thats awasome

  • Cum jelly

  • i wont it

  • @JasonNorthen

    did you mean want* ?

  • That's so cool!! Especially the way the cilia move, looks like there are tiny lights on it!

Btw, since it eats its own kind, would you call it cannibalistic?

Also, one of the tags you used for this video was "sewer"; do these things live in the sewers too?

  • Wooww!!

  • GROWUP

u wish you knew what he was talking about, loser.

  • Nice! Depending on the angle I was thinking flying cucumber or zeppelin! Ha ha ha! It's like the blob in Monsters vs. Aliens (you don't need to have a brain). Thanks again for your videos.

  • im in a zoology class right now and i love to watch your videos to see if i understand all the terminology you use. Usually i can, but occasionally i hear one i don recognize. i hope, one day, i will be as traveled and learned as you are. what exactly do you do? are you some kind of biologist?

  • I have all the narration scripted, so feel free to ask.

I'm a freelance zoologist, which usually means I teach science but occasionally I get to do research.

  • awesome

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow thats awsome, kinda looks like a pertialy deflated baloon

  • It's gorgeous. :)

  • i used to have five of these in my aquarium when i was 12.

  • cool i feel like squishing them lmao just kidding but they do look like a type of plant i forgot what it was called but looks close to a cucumber

  • Silly question!

What happens if i touch one?

  • They just bounce off you.

  • Are they cannibals, or do they prey on different species of comb jelly?

  • Don't know - I suspect they prefer other species, but they don't seem too dainty to eat conspecifics.
