  • 2:32 frozen buddy :D

  • Caralhoooo!!! Que solo agressivo.... Sonzaço!!!

E esses falsetes do Buddy é bom demais... Adoro

  • Yah! Simply put; GREAT execution!!

  • Ya all need to quit the bullshit. If Buddy wants to play with some white cats then thats his business. Hell, at the end of the day, money is green and I'm still a Black ass nigga with no green in my pocket. However, if I could change that by joining a few white dudes and play some great music well then fuck it!!! I'm playing with my white bros because apparently no Black jive talking negro is trying to support my Black ass. So, fuck all of you militant fucks and get the fuck out the way. Peace!

  • buddy is my favourize bluesman, and I am white, i like black blues, white blues sucks. SRV was good, but buddy and hooker knows the stuff, buddy is over 70 now and i still listen to his lastest album,

  • i got all my infulence from buddy guy ive been playin for 10 years but im not good at all. my buddy played for 7 and smokes me. but he thinks im good. cuz i sound like buddy and bb. he sounds like clapton its all blues. u dont have to play a billion notes to get it. bb king = greatest phrasing ever buddy = craziest guitar and vocals ever!!! clapton = techincal perfection!!

  • A bit slopy Buddy, you rock!!

  • I love how he's a mean singer and guitarist, but incapable of doing both at the same time.

  • @RipuBhatia bb king too lol. everybody cant be SRV or clapton haha

  • MAN I LOVE BUDDY GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lilejamie93 Me too! He is my favorite.

  • I think it is a damn shame that a black man in a position to help other black men has white guys playing in his band. Grinning Uncle Tom mother-f'er.

That is why we will never get ahead. Whites wont hire us, and neither will our own kind.

  • @WillinEnglewood Man quit that shit. They aint puttin us down. And if nothin else its made us a stronger people. Just be proud and do somethin with yo self. Peace.

  • @WillinEnglewood

I like Buddy Guy the man. He's Black? Dam My ears can't tell. I do know he's one of the greatest living legend blues guitarist in the whole world. Proud also to say he's from my Louisiana. If you've never seen him live treat yourself!

  • Comment removed

  • @WillinEnglewood hey, militant black man...maybe its about hiring the best musician who click the most with? maybe not about race?...so why dont YOU stop being racist

  • @MrJdvance It's about hiring what's out there. The problem is that black men would rather hear rap instead of the blues. The so called brother race left the blues high and dry, man! Why should white people be punished because they love that type of music? If this guy wants to bitch about any race, it should be his own! After all, they are the ones that chose to support all that gangsta bullshit that makes no fucking sense whatsoever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @WillinEnglewood Hey dumb ass, blacks would rather here that fucking rap bullshit than this guy. Why are you being such a negative jerk because Buddy doesn't have blacks playing in his band for this footage? Guess what? I have seen this man live more times than you will get laid in your life, and you've got this all wrong! He has black band members, currently, and he's had them in the past. The only one that's holding you down is you!

  • @WillinEnglewood Where do you live? I'll hire you if you can hold it down like those dudes! I'm Latino.

  • thank you for making me feel better buddy!

  • Amazing sustain... @.@

  • Scotty Holt rips up the guitar too!

  • perfect morning tune

  • Don't try to tell people what is good or bad.. Just listen to what you like, and support these musicians though going to see their live shows, or purchasing their media.

Everyone likes something different, don't try to TELL people what is good or bad.. just listen, and keep negative comments to yourself.

  • This is groove music. Good stuff.

  • This is the 'Guy' that Rolling Stone ranks at 30th on their list of the 100 best guitarists. Can you believe that??? Guess they care nothing for their credibility. Idiots!!!

  • man is a business question, they prefer two or three Cobains sellin their souls for good than a real musician playin his soul for you

  • @jamminjoy that list is comming from the mag that said led zeppelin1 2 3 4 sucked so.......

  • wow all i can say is wow i havent heard this in years!! this makes me so happy!!!! do it do it!!! loving timeless usic at 24 yrs old. good stuff, hell, great stuff!!

  • just got into dis cat mane

what are some good buddy songs yall?

  • He can play Jimi Hindrix to the Bone as well! Peace!

  • Yesterday was the Oscars and all the nonsense where they all slap themselves on the back for being somebody they are not. Ladies and gentlemen, I humbly present to you Buddy Guy. Who is himself...

  • @chadchap You said it brother!!

  • Smile! It's Buddy Guy!!!!

  • buddy was hendrix before hendrix

  • Buddy guy is the maaaaaaan cause of him I now play the guitar. Under Eric Watler

  • Seen Buddy Guy several times and each time he is more incredible than the last. Wow this man could play a remote control and make it rock. Saw him play a song with 2 scarfs on his guitar and it was awesome!!! Unreal!

  • there isn't words to describe this...

  • What is the name of this show??? Thanks

  • So love his voice ! and dam it I love this funky groove ! :-)

  • Clapton played the Gibson 335 live and the SG in studio, as far as i know cuz that's all i've ever seen, then switched to the Strat, and then his own model . . . Page, played a tele til he got a Les Paul and Im positive that those are both Strats .. amazing what a 16 year old knows about the history of Rock, Blues etc etc and who plays Rock, Blues, Jazz, Funk etc etc etc . . i study music from the 40s to the 70s and i can't rd music/notes etc at all, all by ear, 2 years 8 months and im badass

  • @TheGibsonman59 Clapton also used a Les Paul when he was one of John Mayal's Bluesbreakers

  • @TheGibsonman59 somebody's a little full of themself

  • @TayDylWad lol No shit, ive been playin just as long as him and i'd alright, but im not gonna an arrogant prick about it lol

  • @TheGibsonman59 "2 years 8 months and I'm 'badass'" That is possibly the most arrogant quote I have ever heard on a Buddy Guy page. Silly kid, you don't understand. One of the greatest guitar players ever once said "Blues are easy to play and hard to feel". Sure, I've been playing close to two years. I can play some mean blues for my age, too, but I haven't paid my dues. These guys have played for years. The guitar is an extension of their arm. They love it. They breathe it. Try to understand.

  • @ZeppelinFan6980 well said

  • he has such a happy smile lol

  • buddy is a blues god!!

  • Just saw him at San Manuel with BB king last week...epic :)

  • Buddy acts so nice when he sings then he starts to solo and its like right in your face!!

  • his voice got better with age, it sucks on his older records

  • @kristofor12345 I think the old record producer wanted him to sound like nat king cole or something..Buddy was saying in one of his old interviews

  • it's not about who's better. actually, neither is better than the other. BB plays delta blues and Buddy plays Chigago blues. both different kinds of blues, each of them incredible at the style of the genre they play. plus, when you say someone's better, that's not what you're really saying. what you're saying is who you like better.

  • @Derricisgreat Agreed, "Better" is nothing more than just a opinion, which can change with the winds of time and feelings.

  • Buddy is simply the man.I saw him in early 90's and it was amazing. The crowd worshiped him!Best performance ive ever seen.

  • @SonnyREast dude i seen him like a year ago when he played in charlotte. i was absolutely blown away. he walked around the crowd and sung to my friend. i was super jealous.

  • Oh My God! Legend

  • LOL 3:07

  • WE WANT MORE BUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is this a fender dlx roadhouse ??

  • @monkeyy992

It's a Fender. Great guitar. Seems like most of the greats used Fender (other than Jimmy Page).

  • @apostolostv

Jimmy Page used a Fender Telecaster on the first Led Zeppelin album and did so until Joe Walsh gave him his first Les Paul

  • @carvinrocks2 But clapton, blackmore, and some others used gibson, until they saw hendrix

  • Does anyone know who the other guitar player with Buddy? That kid gets down!!!

  • @joethepainter90 I think it's Roy Gallagher or something like that. U should check out his Bullfrog Blues!!

  • I was lucky enough to see Buddy Guy in 1970 and I can tell you -- he absolutely got hold the audience and did not let go. One of the best performances by any musician I have ever seen (and I saw Jim Morrison, Janis, Hendrix, etc). He just tore the house down. And he did it apparently very drunk. What a guitarist! And what a singer!

  • buddy i miss your gerry curl

  • the best

  • for those making negative comments -get on stage and do better , or shut up !-these guys are the best !-so bugger off!!-thank you for posting this wonderful song and version gaukur!-have a lovely day -and the rest of you as well !-enjoy , don't destroy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-----gus

  • that's awsome sustain! is it his guitar solely or a combination of gear?

  • @pathogeniclithograph he's using feedback from the amp, classic trick, could go on forever

  • @JakeModica93 just enjoy, dont try to figure everything out.

  • @pathogeniclithograph

If you play a strat. with noiseless lace sensor pick ups like Buddy's axe or mine and play with a lot of volume and gain /overdrive you will get notes to sustain as long as you want. It also helps to know which notes will sustain more than others and which will feedback, and it helps to know where to stand in relation to the amp. and speakers.

  • Wow who ever is complianing about the second guitarist is stupid! He was a badass!

  • going to see him in 2 weeks!

  • the other soloist is lame

  • Hmm,, I wouldn't say lame... I mean c'mon, he's in Buddy's band, haha. Of course he isn't gonna have the same affect as Buddy... But I can see what you mean as in trying to upstage Buddy. If you're playing for a star like Guy, you don't try and out-play em... All I can say is fair play to Buddy for giving his band members time under the spotlight.

  • i don't think he's trying to upstage buddy, its good for band members to have a little competition going on, they push each other to play better

  • @TheHinn180

Bro/Sis, Buddy Guy chose the player....they've rehearsed and agreed on said riffs..acknowledge de truth...buddy is king...

  • truly amazing!

  • A legend! Nice band too.

  • Buddy Guy=amazing

  • white dude listens to bb and srv that i know

  • longest note in history!! Rock on Buddy!!

  • god i love his soloing style its nicee

  • Great,Buddy jsut showing to have some good fun on stage and that's what I think more artists should be like these days,he still is that way, sadly I don't think alot of people would care performing like that these days.

  • who is that playin with him? The White dude that had the solo...

  • @LittlewingKD I think that's Scott Holt

  • That's Scott Holt

  • hey does nebody know what kind of amp he uses here

  • Looks like a Marshall

  • Im more of a delta blues kinda guy. but damnit do i love the funky bass in "chicago blues"

  • Electric scrambled eggs with a side of sustainus maximus. YUSS!

  • good this is so good it sexually excites me :D

  • SOOO SWEEET!

  • can someone please tell me how he does those friggin bends

  • Rock me Baby!

  • I love how he gets the crowd into his work, and always has a smile on, it just shows how much Buddy loves what he does.

  • play the Blues Budy, sounds so fricking Good..

  • NOTHING beats the blues :D

  • Except more blues

  • Can NEVER get enough Buddy!

  • how the hell does he that guitar to sustain for so long???? I luv buddy guy!!!!

  • loop i think

  • hey ive been there before

  • i love Buddy Guy!

one of the best and most unique bluesmen ever!

  • I have a signed Strat by Buddy from the 2004 Tampa bay Blues Fest when he used my bud Reese Wynans and Chris and Tommy from SRV.

  • @Derricisgreat i love buddy guy bt i like b.b king a bit more but whos better?

  • @Derricisgreat THE best and most unique bluesman ever

  • @MwPrice102 Unique is definitely the best word to describe Buddy Guy.

  • Awesome!

  • Houston,Texas baby!

    What a great blues performer.

    Harlingen,Texas

  • Good line ,have to remember it. This smile on my face you didn´t put it there. Let that one slip out and keep those hands off my wallet when you go.

  • any one know what pedals hes got on the ground?

  • Who is the other guitar player?

  • That's Scott Holt

  • Can you tell me that pick up used in this concert (not the lace sensor if you see well)

  • The dark pigmented guy with the bright guitar with pearloid pickguard, called "Buddy Guy", is using Lace sensors gold.

  • That was from his 1993 tour 16 yrs ago

  • This was about 11 years ago.....

  • anybody knows who the other guitar player is? what a great solo he had.

  • Blues isn't blues without talking to your audience. :)

  • what year was this??

  • damn when he performs even playing the guitar it just like he draws u in and ........i cant explain it but DAMN ONE OF THE GREATEST GUITAR PLAYERS IN THE WORLD

  • wow it is fricking empty there! I wish he would come to holland so a 17 year-old like me could see him live...

  • Buddy Guyu is the most unappreciated bklues man alive today. Wake up music fans and love them while they are still around. I would climb mountains to see Buddy. Best blues player, Taught Clapton, Handrix, Etc...

  • Buddy is only unappreciated by people who don't appreciate blues man. All the blues fans out there would climb mountains to see Buddy Guy, shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhheeet i would give up everything i own to see buddy....

  • true man Hendrix himself learnt from that man

  • I think you are thinking about t-bone walker, or at least hendrix copied his stage-moves like playing behind his back, and playing with his teeth, but yes, he at least influenced hendrix.

  • Wow how about B. B. king then?

  • @Wullieboy1985 I WOULD BRO.....!!!

  • @Wullieboy1985 i think this happens just because his name doesnt involve king :)

  • Seein buddy guy this thursday :-0!

  • His shows are sooooo much fun! He is an amazing talent, with the best personality!

  • who is the guy with him????

He's older and has different band members, but GO SEE HIM!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!! I can't wait to go see him again! Keep Rockin' the Blues for us Buddy....YOU RULE!!!!!!!!!! God Bless!!

  • Dude, he did the same thing in Eugene, OR - so fucking amazing - this guy is the quint essential blues master... even Clapton says he's the best and favorite guitar player alive.

  • fuck , what a sustain !!!! :)

  • It's a trick, he's hiring his amp up as the note dies off ;-P. Plus, standing that close to the amp is gonna create feedback

  • No wonder Hendrix, Clapton and Vaughn were so great, looking up to this Guy (pun intended)!

  • ee vai!!!!!!
