Would it be fair to postulate that the effects of spacewarps are different for each invidua and that with exposure to successive warps it become easier to tolerate? Also, notice most of the regular cast seamed to immediatly awaken. Then, again, Improvemnet in ships design might be a factor as thier very 1st Warp caused some minor damage.-A Gravity Nebula? Black Hole? Hey Restitutus...Only Godzilla could ignite the atmosphere if he overloaded. Two words: KA--BOOM!

And that is the greatest wonder: a magmatic eruption accelerating Iscandar to an uncontrolled warp. Did they ever learn about IMPULSE in Japanese schools? And what has happened to Sanada's: "the entire universe might explode" if the warp is initiated at the wrong moment?

Strange how loyalties change in this show as I find myself feeling sorry for Desslar even after he nearly wiped out humanity. Turnabout isn't always fair play it seems.

Why so? Dessler quite remains himself: finding someone exploiting his planet and dealing with it his usual way: "Open fire and ask questions if there are any survivors." And this without investigating nature and strength of the opponent. Why feeling sorry for him taking - once again - more than he can swallow?

It looks strange that way that Kodai so easily takes sides with the murderer of his parents.

Desslok's "swing-deck" Battle Carrier is the only cruiser class ship ever to survive a direct hit from Yamato's shock cannons.

Incorrect. Although I do not recall Yamato blasting Dessler's battlecarrier at all, during the 2nd series a Cometine carrier was hit - but only damaged - by a surprisingly long-ranged salvo.

Since neither Cometine carriers nor Gamilon battlecarriers are cruiser-class, the point is moot, but the example still holds.

Dessler's refusal to succumb to shock at a surprise attack is a primary military virtue.

I didn't say it was Desslok's battle carrier, I said it was the same class as it. When the starflies destroyed the BC's weapons, Yamato blew a hole clean thru the ship, and the BC was still able to escape without being annihilated.
