This is the principle that cameras use. Notice that all the images are upside-down, btw. Sadly, it will be really dark, there is no "brightness" button to adjust, but it's a cute trick.

It then projects this light in straight lines as light travels. i.e. the light from the sky travels down to hit the hole and then keeps travelling down to hit somewhere on the bottom of the wall, seeming like the sky is on the floor :D
