@WHYxSOxSERiiOUS Your right ,this "track" took hours to build.....OH wait,I dont see a track smart guy. Just a car DRIFTING around some wood. If you were a little smarter with your comments , you wouldn't sound like such a Douche.
@bolpkia951 sorry bro can't answer that one. HPI's site should have some info or just google it. i just did and it looks like a 15t motor and drift tires. Good luck bud.
@bolpkia951 the drift version has a specially designed hard compound drift tires, premounted on official replicas of a famous volk te37 wheels, the sprint 2 sport is a race car, the sprint 2 is more of a durable touring car
hahaha its really unuseful mate, i got this car and learned to drift in a few minutes, its just balancing throttle and steering, the dbox is only for stability
im in a bind of buying the normal sprint 2 sport RTR or the drifting RTR..my question is if i got the drifting car can i turn of the drifting to drive normally?
@marketskater101 , The tires make a huge difference in the drift part of it.Put some tires that hook up and it drives more "normal". I think you could easily reverse tune this car with minimal parts to stick like glue.......but why? Dual purpose? Good luck.
Right on Bro! Yeah, you need at least a 3000mah to really make this car shine. I hope you enjoy it. If you post a vid, hit me up. ps I use a 1500mah for the video.....lol
Thank you very much. Yes its ready to run. Paint ,cut ,decal and your done. Way different from when I started. If you wanted a "REAL" RC car you were lookin at some serious build time. I don't miss that part... :)
i got the car and its totally way different to what i thought, but i recommend people who are thinking on buying this car, to replace the batteries for hpi gt 3300mah, the batteries run longer at top speed
I like it alot. It does what you think it should. I'm by no means a skilled drifter. This car is setup perfect for a beginner. I have not twisted one adjutment on this car . It is bone stock with a "P.O.S." 1800 mah battery.....Get as much juice as you can. Tires will break loose easier.
dude i have the same car with a different body. and mines all upgraded. it is so fast. they handle awesome. and battery life is about 50 minutes without exxagerating
Team Alhpa, if you turn to the right ,and then back to the left and stomp the throttle, when entering a lefthand corner. It will help kick the back out. Good luck.
Thanks alot. It kinda sounds funny but I play alot of driving sims and love drifting in those. So It was kinda natural and easy. The physics are the same, its just the right surface your looking for with the stock rc rubber. I used a backyard patio which is smoother than a typical sidewalk. Good luck :)
Nope. You can drift with just a little practice. Start small and go bigger. In this video you see the car go right then left into a drift. it kinda kicks the back out for me, or it wouldn't drift all that well on the surface here. :)
Hey, sorry it took so long to answer. Yes its the perfect car to learn on. This is the one I learned on. It goes 30-35, depends on the battery you put in it.
its ok and cool thanks for the info im gonna save up money for it they look awesome. i have a team losi aftershock but i have been wanting an on road for a while
It was really easy. I used a darker see-through blue color, and bright silver. I wanted a tinted look for the window so I sprayed a layer of the blue. I then taped everything and sprayed the blue until I reached my desired shade. Wait between coats or it will run. I used a hair dryer to speed it up. Then I hit it with the (Bright) silver till you run out......almost. You can mix lots of see through colors with metalic colors to get tons of candy colors. Color first ,then metalic. Good luck!
Thanks alot. No. you want a balance of front and rear wheel power. You can even get the rear end past the front when real deep in a drift and still pull the front back around. Hard to do in a rwd vehicle. You could even practice in Forza or Grid (video game)to get a good feal for drifting awd and rwd. Any realistic drift practice(althuough virtual)is still ptactice. Good luck bud.
Hi. Thanks for the comment. The car is straight outa the box. I put in a battery and started filming. No Dbox. The trick is the right surface. This is smooth cemment on our back patio. Good luck, and practice. You really don't need a Dbox Bro. Start with small drifts and they will naturaly strat to widen up and become more controlable and faster.
Thats kinda funny but no, they have never flew off or anything like that. You might have to re-glue them on. That should fix you problem. Good luck bro...
On your E-10 you wheels fly off because either you don't screw i your bolts all the way when screwing them in or u use the wrong st of then which are all mixed up and some are longer than other. Good luck figuring that out!! ; o
Thanks. Its goes about 30 wph. I think the rustler would beat the e-10 in a long straight. But the e-10 (HPI) would kill it off the line. No wind up, instant power. This video is with a 1600 mah battery. I put a 2400 mah in it and it went noticeably faster. My first nitro was a rustler. :) I bought it about 9 years ago. I loved that thing and still have it!! Hope this heips.
Nope. I live in San Diego, Ca. In the U.S. I'm sure you'll find it over there in a hobby shop. I knew a really cool guy that lived on the Gold Coast over there. He imported fishing rods from us. Anyway, I'd be happy to answer any other questions. Take care mate.
Thanks for the comment bro. Yes its rtr, and it was $219.00 at Hobby People....home of the worst customer service. This car is setup so good out of the box you'll be driftin in no time. Have fun.
This is without a D box. You really can learn to drift pretty quickly without one. This car is set up right outa the box. No adjustments needed to drift....just practice. You can fine tune the crap outa this car when tuneing is needed.... Thanks for the comment!
atually i love rc, id buy tons of rc since i was born(very expencive), n now my parents dont like me spentinmoney on cars the want me toget physical stuff wich i all love, by the way ther was 1 4 $169 bu it was originally $450 bu i dont even want that cause is a piece or crap like u said i want 1 that is $399 that was originally $899 and im getin a proformence package itll go like 60 mph
lmfao thanx bu i changed my mine y would i waste $200-$350 on a little car if i can get mini or super pocket rocket that u can ride that starts at $169!!!!!!
Yeah...your right. You don't sound like an R.C. kinda guy anyway. My R.C. Ducati 999R cost $240 and that was a steal! Just remember. If you can ride it and its under $300. Its usually a piece of shit from china. Imho buying a bike from China would be a sucker move. They break quick. Hope you have fun either way. P.S. Save your money and buy Quality....Thats why r.c. is so expensive.
No offense but.......DUH! Thats why I said buy a bigger one. Put down the cash and you can get alot longer run time. This is a 1800 mah battery for my crawler. Go drop 60$ and get yourself a 5000 mah one. Or even Li-poly. PS. Trying to be positive and saying thank you once in a while will get you a alot further in life kidd. Class over.
Hey dude. Ok from the top...yes the car can control well with out the d-box...don't waist your money on one. LEARN too drift. This video was made with only 2 charges worth of drifting practice total. That would be,I bought the car, charged it. ran it till the battery drained(about 5 mins on a 7.2 1800 mah). Charged it up and thought its time to make a video. Ran the second charge out making this video. Thats how long it took me without the "D-box" to advance to this point. Not anything special.
Alot of the video is in slo-mo, but I love that crap. Around 2:55 to 3:40 is all real time. This is about 1/4 to 1/3 of the full speed. My friend said was pretty damn fast when he saw it. But if you were to go full speed and kick into a drift, it would be a huge arc. Speed isn't everything in drifting. The car is plenty fast to learn with, and have fun.
Thanks bro. I think every video should have at least one out-take. You know we are never as cool as to not make mistakes while making the video. So I through them in to keep it real. Used a newly learned video technique over abundently here. ;) wink, wink nudge, nudge
U can make extra corners if u were smarter with buliding a track so u can link corners & actually drift

about how long dus the battery last on a full charge

About 5 minutes on a 1800 mah 7.2v. Hint: Buy a battery with more MAH. In theory I guess a 3600 mah, would run about 10 minutes and so on.
