I have zelda skyward sword... but its still in its packaging .. ever since xmas XD.. and i call myself a gamer-girl .. psh xD i should have played it by now! but i haven't even opened it .. failuree!!

Am I the only one who is wildly swinging away at enemies and it's just completely failing? I don't know how to get past enemies' blocks. You'd think it'd be as simple as, if they block your overhead swing, well then do an underhand swing or maybe to the side, just don't swing where they block, but no it doesn't work like that. So I'm at a loss for how to defeat enemies. Also I've seen some people dodge strafing? How do you do that?

@SilentBob420BMFJ I guess you need to watch your enemies more closely. I used to have problems with those bokoblins of the past until I remembered the Ghirahim battle. If you haven't, you'll soon face an enemy that will punish you for not swinging precisely. if you beat Ghirahim, most normal enemies shouldn't pose much of a threat.

I know what you mean, but that Ghirahim battle was dumb, because he was holding his hand out to one side, so you think you'd hit him on the opposite side, but no. You had to just like hold your sword out to the side so he'd move his hand, then quickly swing.

The ones I'm having trouble with are the guys with the electric swords. They move their sword RIGHT as I swing. And you can't swing backhand to hit their left side, so you have to wait for sword to move, but it's hard.

you need to be able to deal with it, it only going to gets harder. And take it from someone who has beaten this game 3 times, they are not as hard as you make it out to be. Just remember, you could bomb them.

I do agree in most cases that controllers are usually better than motion controls, but for zelda its a whole different story, I had lots of fun in Wii sports resort swordplay, and with zelda games u would usually just keep pressing B at the same pace, but with motion plus u attack fully in your own control and pace, makes battles 10x more exciting than most games were u just either keep pressing buttons in a certain combination or aim and shoot, nobody notices how boring those controls are :P

You start out with 6 hearts because the game might be more tricky, with more harder foes. I think that the Zelda developers think at the gamers' entertainment, they just sacrifice the tradition of the 3 starter hearts to the 6 starter hearts, just for us.

@Brainkey2 Umm... everywhere? The zelda tech Demo proved it too. There are loads of sources saying it's more powerful. Another thing is that due to the amount of innovation the wii U has, it is completely different from ps3 and 360 so you can't compare. Main reason it has HD touch screen in the controller which is used for all sorts of cool features. The only real problem is the name but it's not a reason to miss out on it. Saying the wii U is the same is like saying A PC is the same as a MAC.
