I want to thank you for the video, it was very helpful. This problem drove me nuts. The team at google should have found a better way to transfer new accounts.

The only thing that should be mentioned is that all your contact data will be removed from your phone, BUT it can be easily accessed through your old gmail account that you had set up and clicking in the contacts link at the left side, there you will find all the contact data ready for manual input into your new account.

hey i just bought this phone from my friend and cant change the email i got your steps but at the end whenever you reseted the GAmil apps and went to the set up process is it going to let you log back in if you dont have a data plan becasue im using the phone without the data plan. So i dont want to go back to the set up process if its not going to log be back in so i need to know that is it going to log me in when connected to the WI-FI or do you need the data plan. Please Help man

the process is not resetting your entire phone just the gmail accounts. as long as you dont do a master reset which will delete and reset everything including if its unlocked and rooted you should be fine.
