i have an hg20 but i cant get it look how good your videos look.. what program do you use to upload or convert what settings did you use on ur computer or software
hopefully getting one. ive just thought though, assuming it compresses the video on the HDD, if i fill it, it will take 60GB on my PC, time to get an external HDD!
it can record at 60i 24p and 30p. the 24 and 30p are the higher end frame rates because they are progressive frame rates. 24p in a cinema quality frame rate. I wouldn't worry about it. =D
24p for cinema quality look, only useful if you want something to look more like a "movie". 30p for realism and quality, family memories you want saved at highest quality. 60i for fast paced events such as a sports game with lots of movement. 60i may appear a bit more fluid than 30p for fast moving subjects because of the interlaced format, but you get interlacing artifacts so it's up to you.
I do a lot of editing using Adobe Premiere Element 3.0 and my old canon elura. If i use the HG20, will i still be able to use my Premiere 3.0 to edit the footages that will be captured by the HG20? Thanks and hope to hear a feedback.
The colors came through so VIVID! WOW! I have the Canon hg20 as well and edit through Sony Vegas but when I render the footage with WMV. format it looks a little whitewashed. What format do you use to render and upload to Youtube. Are you doing it at 720p?
cool. i just wanted to know if you needed to use a certain kind of program to edit hd. have you tried the slomo shots it 24p. i have a sony vx2000. but the slomo gets choppy and i wanted a hd cam for slomo stuff and i wanted to know how it looked.
I have actually.... some of the shots in this video are slowed down. I didnt do anything special... but the program does make a difference. Motion (part of FCP Studio 2) can create missing frames when you slow a clip down so the frame rate isnt affected. You can get some nice slow motion shots with the cam tho. And the picture is ridiculously pretty.
what fps does it film in?
