Story this song is based off of:

On January 29, 1979, 16 year old Brenda Spencer opened fire on children arriving at Cleveland Elementary School in San Diego from her house across the street, killing 2 men and wounding 8 students and a police officer, using a rifle given to her by her father for her birthday. When asked why she did it, she told the reporter, "I don't like Mondays. This livens up the day."

This version is the original and the best. I was listening to a BBC Radio station earlier today and the version seems to have a key change towards the end and for people like me (17 years old in 1979 when this song was released) it really should be left as it was first heard. Another song which seems to have been altered in this way is Atomic by Blondie which I believe came out a year later in 1980.

Please, please, leave these classics as they are when they were first released on 45s and 33s.

Really good video. If I may add one bit of constructive criticism, it would be to slow down how fast the information at the end is shown, I had to pause to read it. But it is a really nice video.
