But the MAGNITUDE of the atrocity they perpetrated in WW2 at Pearl Harbor was so grave, that - after the US & Allies won WW2 - the US & Allies mandated that Japan was unable to have a military. Period. That's why they honed their financial strength so keenly/intensely after WW2; Japan had no options militarily.
