I am always amazed by people who can do this. I am into music, which is art in another form, but being able to form an image in my head and then put it down on paper is simply something that does not come naturally to me. You have an amazing gift.
I'm 15 and practiced with dry media, and recently got Photoshop and a Wacom tablet seeing people like you at work. It's really amazing how things come out of people all around these days, and I'd love to be yet another. Thanks for showing the process as much as you did, it's not just speeding and obscure scratch to nothing. I really like it. The rain is wonderful.
Wonderful! That's very inspiration for me, since I have trouble with landscapes. It's just...amazing how simple it really is when you know how to do it! I can't wait to start practicing after see thing. it's too incredible how beautiful the textures ended up being just by your own skill. <3
I like that initial way of "looking for" the picture with random painting that I see from you and other artists, and I'm going to start trying it. I assume you were drawing/painting long before you had these tools, but I would like to know how long it took you to gain proficiency with the digital aspect. How much work did it take to make photoshop do what you want it to?
@exexlegolasexex Well, a lot of people start doing digital painting thinking that special brushes and computer effects are going to make things way easier, but for most things I use a pretty generic round brush. I think when you try to understand how colours react to each other, the same principles apply both to traditional and digital mediums and it's just a matter of practice, with a lot of trial and error on the way to figure out how you can make use of the layer-based system and layer modes!
@exexlegolasexex So it takes perhaps a few weeks to get comfortable with the digital tools, but making good use of them when you need them can take quite a while. But it's also a lot of fun :)
@TimoonMoth ty for the reply. I stick to default brushes and just a few layers as well until I feel I have a firm grasp of the possibilities with them. It's tempting to overlay textures with masking, but I feel I need to be much better with the actual painting first.
This was amazing. I so often struggle with coming up with good environments. Did you plan this out or did you just have a mental idea? So awesome /)^3^(\
@Sandspecter14 I didn't have any plans until about 0:10 on the video, when I figured out most of the basic shapes and contrasts. After that it's mostly just pushing the contrasts further, bringing colours and detailing !
@dotchimaster Thanks ! it goes pretty fast mostly because it's kind of a half-random organic process, and pretty sloppy too. otherwise it can be much more time-consuming when you have something very specific in mind.
Só tenho uma coisa a dizer, maravilhoso!!!!! postei meu primeiro speed painting tb, mas ainda preciso aprender mais de ediçãode video! parabéns, está ótimo! dá uma olhadinha no meu se puder!
