Although I really don't don't get the intellectual mindset that is in love with big government and loss of personal freedoms which is the course that this administration is clearly and profoundly on. Why everyone but the intellectuals see this is frankly, fascinating.

Why or why did Zinn, Chomsky, and Moore endorse Obama? There were plenty of real alternatives: Nader, Paul, Gravel, etc. It was very clear during the campaign that Obama represented merely a continuation of Bush.

@medliberty I don't think Zinn liked Nader. He stated at one point that Nader was wasting his time running for president. I think Zinn got swept up, like we all did, in Obama and voted/supported him because he thought that Obama would actually change things.

The point of the Bible Quote (I'm not religious) was to point out that all 'false prophets' claiming to be the savior (i,e. Obama, Geithner, Bush, Clinton, et al.) Actions demonstrate their true intentions and that their motives are not "For the People" but actually for the Oligarchy to which they belong - the rest is all a farce to keep the enslaved slaves.
Apparently those slaves didn't get that (-4), I was not preaching.

The point of this quote was to demonstrate that since the inception of the Bible (and before) there have been many claiming to be acting in our best interest that in fact led more to our demise. (Jim Jones, Bankers, Politicians, Hitler, Christinsanity, IMF, Obama, etc.)
Actions speak louder than words. Or Proof is in the Pudding, might have been a simpler, clearer analogy I apologize.
It wasn't meant as dogma, but support of the point of this video)

Well, this being Easter Weekend and all, whenever there is Bible cited, the religious bush is painted bright red.
--But people forget -- the Bible was written by human beings. Ordinary human beings. Men... No women wrote the Bible, so the Bible is laden with male ego.
Never forget the ego is a killer, so it wants you to think that God is a killer too, and fear Him.
That said, the US has become co-dependent with American People having almost no powers or freedom left.

My very point. The Bible is at best a book of fables to educate the ignorant of the corrupt nature of greed and power.
It is a shame so many must repeat the same horror again and again until they learn from their past.
Too many sheep follow the shepherd never realizing they are to be sacrificed or slain for food or profit. How sad many people have not evolved the good sense to get out of the middle of the road lest they be broadsided by reality left stunned, crippled or dead.

Actually any books on "the History of Western Civilization" is better. Since the Babylonian, Egyptian, Roman, British empire, to the modern American imperialism, the history of rulers & elites exploiting the working class has repeated over, & over, & over again.
Same story, just different Nations, different Eras, & different people, BUT THE SAME OLD STORY.
All people of different religions, color, & creed should read more HISTORY, put down our difference, stand united, & end this vicious cycle.

Once we realize we have the "power to influence positive change" - like in the beginnings of rEVOLution back in the 18th Century -- I am certain the spirit, which grew strong enough they broke the bonds with England, will surface once again.

well a revolution of thought anyway, revolution being a fairly subjective term. far as finding a solution in the confines of that system is as simple as changing a diaper. The problem is in the fact it has only had the "appearance" of change for quite somtime while steadily marching toward an agenda through incrementalism. Far as the plan... well if you need to be told what it is then you are not a party to it. (see declaration of independance, us constituition)
