  • you rock!

  • Looking good. =)

  • @Nvizn1 - Thanks for the compliment. I should have a new vid up in a couple of days.

  • I love this video so much. Thank you for uploading this nice video. I really love ur aquascaping and very good system.

  • @UltimateKeylogger - Thanks for the very nice words. I appreciate it very much!

  • Hey man saw a vid of yours a while back and can't seem to locate the video. The one when u turned your sump sock inside out and found the creature with big black eyes. Could u tell me which 1. Thanks frank

  • @4thGloryMonday - Aahhh, Yes the infomous Isopod. The video is "Live Rock Hitchhikers" I made the video on May 27, 2011. I hope you don't have these critters. They give me the hibbi gibbies. lol

  • Great videos! The tank looks great. Will you be finding a new home for the Tang anytime soon?

  • @TheFishTeen - Well, I do plan on finding a new home for "Bubbles" the yellow tang. Thanks for the compliments of the tank.

  • I have tried some suggestions of IPSF and had great success and on others no success so that is why I watch u and others for your real results help me more. I LOVE your help. Keep posting for us all

  • @ReefDVMs - Thanks for the great comments and nice words. I also look to youtube and a-lot of research for my answers. Actually, I am amazed my 36g system is doing so well without a sump/refugium. I will be back on the road today for a while. I will keep posting as much as I can.

  • Adjusterfrank ipsf has lots of videos out there can u relay which 10gal one your referring to? thanks

  • @ReefDVMs - Well, All I can tell you is that Gerald of IPSF is just short of a Dr. in the field of marine biology. I have had several long discussions with him on the phone regarding DSB,s and the breaksdown of the waste in the tank. I am still a big believer of DSB,s however, many people still are not and Gerald is not. My substrate is much deeper than the 10g vids. I liked the look of the deeper substrate. We will have to see how it works over time.

  • Hey adjusterfrank what exactly lived off of the cherry primo rock you showed the unboxing of? Just wondered if it was worth the extra $. Thanks.

  • @Glephniven - Well, I think the rock is worth the money. All of the coraline has lived. I have clams and mollusks that have also lived and are still living. There are countless critters inside the holes of the rocks which are very beneficial to the system. I have never had to use "Purple up" for the coraline growth. You might not need as much of the primo rock as I purchased. A small amount will go a long way seeding the system.

    Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • Finally. Mega triple thumbs up :)

  • @newyorksteelo - Ahh, Thanks for the thumbs up. I will be happier when I put together a stand for a sump with this system. Nice new camera!!

  • Thanks 4 checkin out my tank frank. Bet u hadn't heard that before. Reef on

  • @4thGloryMonday - Haha, No I haven't. lol. Thanks for watching.

  • Adusterfrank, the tank look great, you going with a deep sandbed then in this smaller tank I think right? If so are you going to do any routine sandbed cleaning with this new sand?

  • @ReefDVMs - This is not a DSB for this system. I do not plan on cleaning the substrate for this tank. I plan on adding a sump at some point and letting the critters clean the substrate like a dsb. Take a look at IPSF youtube vids of the 10g build.

  • TANK LOOKS AWESOME!!!

  • @thereeftank96 - Thanks for the compliment. I now have an anemone also. I will try to put up another video soon!

  • Hi frank just looked that your update why don't you take all the shelfs out and put in a steel galvanised frame inside your cabinet then get a high sump made to fit your new area inside your cabinet that's what I did

  • great job your tank looks good =]

  • @CandyFishRave Thanks for the compliment. I hope you had a great Christmas and New Years.

  • Happy new year Frank! Tanks looking great!

  • @shardinio - Thanks. I see that your system is getting along very nicely. I hope all your 2012 goals are surpassed.

  • Happy new year bro. Iv just read a comment by u saying u filled the external filter with live rock rubble. I did the same and my Nitrates dropped alot. Thnx man. T

  • Tank is looking great!! Happy New Year

  • @spotremover - Thanks for the props. Have a great 2012.

  • Man you luck'd out on the angle. Big up's on the new stand in the future. My fuge has really made me happy. Happy new year

  • @xxL0CKHARTxx - Thanks for the commnet. I agree with the sump. I have never had a tank without a sump and now I know why. lol. I was looking for stands yesterday. They don't really make any stands sutible for this tank and a sump. I might have to make one myself. That really blows.lol. I hope you had a great new year's eve.

  • Great job! Look very nice, love the angel.

  • @ReefCreations - Thanks for the nice comments. Have a great New Year.

  • very nice , looks awesome

  • @bm20197 - Thanks for watching and the nice comment. This is the best the system has ever looked in the past year.

Your planted tank looks great! Congratz on the new additions. Have a great New Year!!

  • The 36 has been totally transformed. Looking great. Lots more room for Bubbles and better water movement, not that you have a problem with that, with your MP40.

  • @jmadden184 - Thanks for the comments. Well, between the fluval, aquaon, HOB skimmer and the MP40 I should have a storm in the tank. lol. Well, the MP40 is mainly to stir up the water for the detritus. I will have to thnk about getting a different pump.

Did you ever get the slug "hitchhiker" out of the system? Or is it still snacking on hermits?

I hope you have a great new year.

    Later!

  • @adjusterfrank I'd swap the 40 for an MP10. You'd be able to play around with the settings on that pump a lot.

No, I haven't gotten that polyclad flatworm out yet. I haven't seen it since the video.

    Same to you.

  • @jmadden184 I agree on the mp10. Just haven't gotten around to purchasing it yet. I have to recover from Christmas. lol.

  • Awesome looks amazing

  • @fishdude3213 - Thanks for the nice words. Have a great New Year!

  • Awesome tank adjusterfrank !!!

  • @NaTiVoWeB - Tanks for the nice words. I hope all is well with you. Have a great new year!!

  • Nice job frank. You'll have to be careful with that angle fish frank . You'll have to keep on top of you feeding, or you know what it's going to be eating buddy. You wife got good taste stunning fish good luck . All the best for 2012...

  • @dm002a8686 - Thanks for the compliments. I explained to her at the reef store the angel's are not safe in the tank. But, she insisted. I have him feeding fro the turkey baster and dried seewead. So far so good!!.

  • Seven hours to do a tank is not bad. Love the new sand and aquascape is looking great. The mp40 is a bit over kill but Love the Ecotech's. Keep up the great work Frank.. Have a great new year..

  • @THEREEFREPORT - Haha, Thanks for the nice words. I agree the MP40 is overkill. However, I didn't want to put the Koralia back in the tank. So I just leave the MP on low. Hope all is going well. Have an awesome new year.

  • @adjusterfrank All is well. Work is busy with the holidays and all. I have to work till mid night newyears eve and day. Sucks but I'm employed...lol

  • Nice tank. Can I ask you what camera you are using?

  • @wesleyforbes - I am using a Sony HDR-SR1. I purchased it in 2005. It was top of the line then and cost almost $1500.00. It has a 30gb HD. Now, the similar camera is about 500 I think and way better. Thanks Wes.

  • What media u got in the filter is it liverock rubble or filtermedia coal exetra?.

  • @ljusta - The fluval has live rock rubble and the aqueon has a filter with carbon. I clean the filter about every other day.

  • I love it man keep going your reaally coming along well

  • @ifUdidwoodU - Thanks. It has only taken a year. lol. I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas.

  • Your temp tank looks sooo good! I know the feeling of tearing the system apart to start over again. It is well worth it. Makes me want to tear mine down to get those pesky engineer gobies out and re-aqua-scape....too lazy! lol lol lol

  • @mkaywilson - Haha. Thanks MK. I am glad that you like it. Well, I am full circle now. I received this tank last year for Christmas. Then, the sickness began. lol. So I am right back where I started but with a lighter wallet and much more knowledge. Thanks to my YouTube community. The reason JB tore down his tank is because of the gobies. The blenny is not quite so bad. You are doing awesome with your system. Have a great holiday!!

  • I wanted that angel fish also, can't wait for mines to come in! Good update!

  • @MyReefLiving - Well, He is good for now that he is small. We will have to see after it gets a bit bigger. Have a great New Year's.

  • awesome tank!

  • @weareallwet - Thanks! It's getting there.

  • Tank looks good i like the aqua scape

  • @zacguitarshreder12 - Thanks. It is about time that this tank looks like a real fish tank instead of just a cluster of rocks. lol.

  • The tank looks a lot better with the bigger substrate.

  • @moneymarkj - Thanks. I like the big substrate also. But... it will not work for a DSB. Have a great New Years.

  • Thanks man!

  • @FishNbricks20 - My pleasure!!

  • lol that angel isnt picking at corals now. but just you wait

  • @snowboarderrx - Haha, Well, I have been keeping a close eye on him. No SPS in this system. I hope it all goes well. If not, He will be banned! lol.

  • looking great!

  • @jnrandall - Thanks. Have a great New Years Eve!!

  • lol you've been called out by the Tang Police :p Your system looks way better with the sand and new rock structure...VERY Nice!

  • @ArcAngel9008 - Haha, Yes I had been called out. The system now looks like a real aquarium instead of just a bunch of rocks stuffed in the tank.

  • I really like the look of the tank! Thumbs up!

  • @reptilejones - Thanks, I appreciate the nice words. I think it looks much better also. Have a great Holiday.

  • Check out my new 75 gallon

  • @FishNbricks20 - Nice new 75g tank. I also like the Christmas Loot vid. I subbed ya. I look forward to watching you build the system. Good Luck!!

  • im a beginner and my mom and dad got me a 55 gallon aquarium kit is the fluval canister easy to set up and maintain

  • @ndurepo1 - I would not recommend using a canister filter. The best way is to incorporate and overflow box to skim the surface of the water. Then, the water goes into a second tank( sump/refugium). Then a pump to get the water back to the display. I have gutted the Fluval and I am just running rubble rocks in the canister. I took out all the carbon and media.

  • @ndurepo1 - I use the Fluval because this tank was supposed to be temporary. Check out my video of my 72g system. The 72 was set up properly. Also, if you watch NYSteelo videos he explains much of the filtration process.
