  • I'm guessing you have insurance but do you know much the entire list of procedures + surgery costs roughly? I've had polyps + a deviated septum for 10 years now. Can't breath out of my nose, can hardly ever smell, asthma, the works. Not a day that goes by that I'm not totally exhausted from not being able to sleep.

Also any advice on how I could get this procedure done would be great. I don't have insurance and can't afford to pay for it all myself D:

  • tette spettacolari, brava!

    (spectacular boobs, congratulations!)

  • a big warning to all people who are going for sinus surgery. YOU CAN GET BACTERIA INFECTION INSIDE OF YOUR SINUSES FROM HOSPITAL EQUIPMANT THEY USE! THIS IS NO JOKE AS THEY FUCK ME UP AND NOW IM STUCK WITH NASTY BACTERIA WICH CAN DISTROY MY EYES OOR LONGS OOR HART OOR KIDNEYS.. THINK TWICE BEFORE OPERATION;;; im fucked as i must swollow antibiotics for rest of my life to order to stay alive...shitt ...

  • @DJsonnyANTWERPEN That was probably from the hospital stay. The instruments they use are either packaged sterile or sterilized.

  • @pboisei normaly jess, but what is the cause i dont know..tomorrow surgent will open compleet complex of sinuses to release the mucose so maby then i can get rid of bacteria in my sinuses..

  • Yeah i have to get this surgery and i am not looking forward to it i am terrified that's why i am surfing the net for info , thanks for the video it makes me feel a little bit better about getting this procedure and i am hoping they don't grow back

  • @amandajsaunders Mine is an extreme case, all of the sinus cavities were completely blocked, so I was worried as well. Do you have asthma or allergies? They can play factors in recurrence. Honestly, the worst part for me was being afraid to be put under. The pain wasn't that bad at all.. Good luck!

  • Wow, I have tests coming up to see if this is what MY problem is. Bless you, thank you so much for sharing!

  • @NitanniChionne Well I hope they figure it out quickly for you! God bless!

  • your cutee lol...

  • Ya it's crazy, I have a pretty good sized polyp in the left side. To the point where it's visible when tiling my head. Really sucks. In my case it's called "Allergic Fungal Sinuitus". An allergic reaction to fungus. Probably Black Mold exposure. Thinking about getting a lawyer. My last apt. had extensive black mold in all the windows. Cleaned it and it kept coming back. My girlfriend suffered from migranes and sinus headaches as well. We moved about 7 months. Since the polyp has grown.

  • @Bluewarriorshreds Wow, it would be great if you can prove it's associated with that. I sometimes wonder if mine was caused by mold as well. Mine were like that too. If I tipped my head back you could see it, it pushed out my nostril on the one side, plus my nose continually ran and I couldn't stop it. lol Do you use any steroid nasal sprays or have they given you prednisone to shrink it? Hope everything works out well for you.

  • Question do any that have recurring polyps, do any of you smoke? Does that make it worse, I don't smoke but I was just wondering if that increases it more for coming back than not smoking, regardless of the other bad aspects of smoking, I' m just wondering if lifestyle plays a part in the recurrence, I would think the smoke would irritate them more?

  • @econogate I would guess cigarettes could effect it, or irritate a nasal issue. Do you have allergies or/and asthma? My understanding is the risk of them coming back after having surgery is 10 years, or 2 years if you have asthma and aspirin sensitivity.

  • I have to get the surgery next month,, so im glad to hear that its not that bad!! I hope all go well and I pray that you and everyone who suffered with it continue to heal!! Thanks for the video! I needed it!

  • @ladybestest18 Amen! Thank you. It really wasn't that bad. I'll say a prayer for your speedy recovery.

  • Ur hot!!

  • I have suffered with allergies all my life. I want to talk to my doc about surgery. I also want to feel what it is like to take the guuze out afterwards. I am so weird. Heh...

  • @HaligonianType1 LOL well, I had dissolvable packing, but also had plastic stitched in that they took out. They went up my nose with long tweezers and pulled that out and suctioned out some packing...plus put a camera up my nose, all well awake. Felt weird, but didn't hurt.

  • hey glad you are doing well.i had bad sinus surgery please respond to me

  • @mastergp11 What happened?

  • Hi what is symptom you get from nasal polyps ?

I had nostril expansion surgery and I expressed that I might have nasal polyps and doctor said there's none (without any X-ray investigation ?)

After a year of the surgery, I still don't feel 100% right about it so I want to hear from you that what kind of major symptoms you experienced.

    Thanks !

  • @iminimoo Well, I constantly got colds, sinus infections, sinusitis. Lost my sense of smell. Some were visible by the doctor looking up my nostril with a scope and the others were seen on the catscans I had. You should ask for a sinus x-ray, just to be sure.

  • @taintedlyric catscan shows better if sinuses are closed and where.x-ray shows litle close to nothing. do me a fawor and test you nose slime for bacterias...dont be surprize you have one.if your nose is leaking white mass oor grean that is not polyps but infection...nasal rince can help you, just lauw water and sea salt and wash the insides of nose...xxx

  • @iminimoo They used CT scan, and I am sure your doctor looked himself. lol

  • i have had 3surgerys in last 4jears end they are coming back,so it is wery bad for me... damn.... this with polys is thay come back in 70% of people... good luck girl.!

  • @DJsonnyANTWERPEN Im praying that doesn't happen to me, the doctor told me in cases like mine, they are likely to come back in 2-5 years as opposed to the 7-10 for others, and thank you.

  • @DJsonnyANTWERPEN well, I am having some issues right now actually, and am going back to see the ENT next month. I'm hoping to not have to have surgery again.

  • @taintedlyric if you have constant sinus infections, especialy with light green mass who comes out then you should as fast as posible go to labo to test the sample of your nose leakage to see what bactery is active..doctors fuck me up saying that is normal to have "constant" inflamation with polyps, but when i insist test of slime then i found out i have nasty bactery active in my sinuses..fucking doctors!! they cant check simple thing...and now i cant get rid of it !!! antibiotics dont help...

  • @taintedlyric i hope so for you too.. im myself afraid what is gona happend with me next.?! now after third operation i found out i have bacteria infection who is deadly in 38% of people!!! im scared like hell.. doctor wont tell but i think im infected by last surgery... i dont know what to tell you...i found in the wall after closet that wall is full of black mold?! is this the reason of starting my problems?i dont know...i wish you all the best and DONT belive everithing doctors say...xxx

  • @taintedlyric i have bad news, i must do next surgery next month....sphenodial sinus must be open... damn im f....d

  • @DJsonnyANTWERPEN and my specialist is planing one operation more, you see they open my maxillary sinuses and remove middle bone in nose but did nothing to frontal sinuses oor ethmodial sinuses..and not to talk about sphenoid sinuses.. uf im not a fan of next operation...not at all...

  • ur eye make up is sooo pretty

  • @deepblueyes28 Thank you!

  • can i see your polyps? bet they smell like roses

  • wow thats crazy

  • i donot care id still fuck u.lol=]

  • ive had about 6 lots of surgery for my polyps, each time they have come back quicker, my ent doctor said its the worst case hes ever seen, so now i put it off as long as i can, before geting it done again, just not worth the pain and discomfort i go through later...by the way you are gorgous....

  • I'm going in for Surgery next month to have mine removed.. Although one is gone I had pulled it out accidentally had a doctor take a look he couldn't see any major bleeding which did stop about 10 minutes later..

My nose is still a little stuffy but i can breath in deeply which is great.. still going under i think no idea..

  • @matrixrev how did it turn out for you?

  • u so fine in this video, u make me hoeney

  • I am about to do this in a few days, pretty much the exact same way as you have done, I'm a tad nervous but can't wait to be able to breath properly, it's taken me 3 years.

  • @Benjamsin004 It took me some time to, regardless, I'm glad I did it. Recovery isn't bad at all.

  • @taintedlyric Avoid using nasonex is a steroid, my boyfriend had this surgery about 3 years, and he have polyps again, but this time it came like CANCER... take care of yourself!!!

  • @mjaime891 Wow, do you have any other suggestions?

  • how much does it cost?

  • @leftcoasthydroponics I'm in Canada, so it was free. I have no idea how much it would cost elsewhere, sorry :(

  • @leftcoasthydroponics For me, the total cost for similar surgery (bilateral FESS w/balloon sinus dilation) was around $35,000 (USD) O_O My insurance paid for most of it. I have to pay $1700 plus about $200 for the copay for all the office visits.

  • I'm about to do the same thing and I'm scared too. When I tilt my head I can see the polyps. My GP actually recommended against surgery, and Kennalog shot... and fed me prednasone for 2 yrs. I took it upon myself to find a doc with CMSP Calif. state run medical for poor people and UC Davis thinks im not bad and wont look at me for a month! I have polyps coming out of my nose, headaches, infection, earache, exhausted, bags under eyes, no smell, drip 24/7, and I'm not an URGENT case (cz im poor!)

  • @bigfatdancingpig I know exactly how that felt. My nose constantly ran, you could see a polyp in my nostril and had altered the shape of my nose. Also had headaches, puffy eyes and infections. Don't be scared. I terrified myself over it too but it came down to not wanting to live like that anymore.

  • How long did it take until you were able to smell after the surgery? I just had this done and the packing was removed yesterday. I could smell a little before the surgery, now it's gone completely. I guess there's still a lot of gunk still up in there. I'm just kind of nervous because some people say it never comes back.

  • @KingNast It took a few weeks, then it came back.

  • @taintedlyric Thanks! mine actually started to come back a couple days after I posted... now it's better than it was before. I had polyps for over 10 years and I feel 10 times better now!

  • thanks soooo much for sharing n please keep posting =[ I found out yesterday I hav bad nasal polyps from my visit to an E.N.T. doctor....

  • @0BALLINN0 Np! I'm going to make an update video soon.

  • @taintedlyric great i will def watch it =]

  • Thank you for posting this. i am in the exact same situation you were in - 2 years, full cavity, no sense of smell, asthma, chronic infections...awful. I am scheduled for my surgery and hoping for the best. Kudos to you for being willing to share.

  • @joebagadonutsjr Good luck! You'll feel so much better!

  • Are u using any corticosteroid nasal sprays to prevent polyps from recurring post surgery.. bcoz i'm using a spray named 'metaspray'.. plz reply me...

  • @sansaviour I do have nasonex, I haven't been using it though. I have to recheck with my doctor about when and if I should.

  • @taintedlyric hmmm... I hope polyps won't recur for u... But nasonex is a steroid, avoid using it...

  • @sansaviour why not using nasonex?

  • Hey again, That's cool. How did you find out that you had them?? I have been to two ENT'S and had CTscans and still they cannot find out what is going on with me. I have a bad DV septum and they act like it's no big deal.. Hate that.

  • @AllTheAspects first started with chronic sinusitis, then they could be seen through my nostril with a scope. I had 2 cat scans as well. I hope you find out what the issue is. You should try a neilmed sinus rinse, nettipot or the bottle, it may help.

  • @AllTheAspects Well, I had two catscans, also you could visually see them by looking up my nose.

  • I also have a deviated septum

  • hey, i'm going to remove my nasal polyps on thursday and i just wanted to know if the surgery has any effect on the size of your nose? I really dont want my nose getting bigger... and i'm really nervous about doing this, mainly because i don't know much about it...

  • @fayeedalir No, it doesn't. My nose actually looked slimmer afterwards, just because one of the polyps in my actual nostril was pushing he one side of my nose out. You'll be ok :)

  • @taintedlyric thank you... and thanks for replying..

  • hey taintedlyrics yeah so that comment was a response to your living with autism video and before I realized there was a part 2. But thats pretty amazing because you (at least on vid seem to handle it really well) don't know... that would be a hard one. On this vid though have you noticed a huge difference since the surgery? Ive been to so many ENT's / oral surguins had CT scans of the sinuses and finally have an appointment with a leading Dr in sinus surgey here to figure out whats going on wi

  • @AllTheAspects Oh, absolutey. I couldn't breathe through my nose, at all and hadn't had a sense of smell for years. It was hard to do any activities, tired all the time and I looked pale. Now I can smell, breathe through my nose again and physical activity isn't as draining as it had been.

  • hey so are you autistic as well?

  • @AllTheAspects I'm not Autistic, my 10 year old son is and considered to be "non-verbal"

  • yeah cool cool just did a rinse than... ahhhh much better.. hey you on facebook?

  • My experience was good. not much bleeding, i stayed overnight in hospital. Little bit bruised cos they drilled two holes to empty my sinus above my eye lids. but im ok now. nice to feel the air in my sinus again. i forgot what that feels like. my taste hasnt come back fully yet, but i'm about to do my first rinse.. so that might help. I heard that polyps comes back but by changing your diet you can keep it away. Have u heard about this?

  • @lootheessence I was told the polyps come back, for a "normal" person - 5 to ten years but for me, likely 3 years. They want to do aspirin desensitization for me because apparently it helps with polyps (I'm allergic to it)

  • @taintedlyric Hi there, I bet you, you have a condition called Samter's Triad. It's where a person is allergic to Aspirin and has nasal polyps and Asthma. The chemical in Aspirin is called Salicylic acid and chemical is in a lot of foods, mainly vegetables, Beer and wine. and a lot of toiletries. You can try and avoid these to feel better, but its very hard. I have had it for 14 years and have just been desensitzed to Aspirin and in the past I have had 5 nasal surgeries to remove the polyps.

  • @lootheessence I didn't really have bruising but I had a stitch inside they removed. The polyps had come down into one nostril and were about to do the same on the other side. It was bad. I can taste pretty good, whether its fully back, I dont know lol It's been so long that I wouldnt know the difference. They started me doing rinses the day after surgery, it will make you feel some relief.

  • yeah i just had the surgery too! My polyps were extreme too! coming out my nose! I'm a musician so i couldnt sing properly! what medications and post op stuff do you do?

  • @lootheessence Hey! How was your experience? I was on 40mg of prednisone for 4 days, antibiotics for 14 and I do a Neilmed nasal rinse everyday with pulimicort in it.

  • cool...happy breathing!

  • @ringaroundtharosey lol, thanks gurl!
